Chen Xu was the guy in university whose back looked very much like Xu Siyan’s.

One day during freshman year, after class.

Chen Xu was walking ahead of me.

I followed him absentmindedly all the way.

He occasionally turned back, noticing my reddened eyes.

A hint of confusion flashed in his gaze.

Since we weren’t in the same class, I wasn’t familiar with him.

The path back to the dormitory was the same.

So at first, he didn’t think much of it.

Until a few days later, he was walking with another guy in front of me.

The guy suddenly pulled him in a different direction, heading towards the basketball court.

They stopped at the entrance to the court.

The guy pointed at me, who had followed them:

“See, I told you she’s following you.”

“When did you start attracting admirers?”

“And made someone cry.”

Chen Xu wore a “seeing a ghost” expression.

That was the first time I officially met Chen Xu.

Later, I told him the truth.

He looked at the photo of Xu Siyan’s back and marveled, “It really does look alike.”

He and Xu Siyan were similar in height and build.

Even their walking posture was quite similar.

But Xu Siyan was gentle and reserved, like a clear breeze and bright moon.

While Chen Xu was sunny and cheerful, free and unrestrained.

They were completely different people.

Later, I became gradually familiar with Chen Xu.

When I spaced out looking at his back again.

Chen Xu would turn his head and call my name.

“Shen Shuyue.”

“Don’t love someone who only leaves you their back.”

“Love someone who faces you and runs towards you.”
