Chapter 1
The day Jiang Yao killed me by the sea, I was in the middle of a fight with Fu Liuchuan.
He said, “Fu Liuliu, we were never related by blood. I’ve never thought of you as my sister.”
A sharp pain pierced my heart, making me tremble.
My only relief was that we were arguing over the phone, so he couldn’t see my devastated expression.
I forced myself to retort, “Good. I’ve never thought of you as my brother, either.”
“Fu Liuchuan, we’re enemies. Do you understand? Enemies.”
I hung up and blocked his number.
When I looked up, a shadow fell over me.
My good friend, Jiang Yao, was staring at me with a monstrous expression I had never seen before.
“Go to hell, Fu Liuliu!”
Her hands closed around my neck as she raised a sharp rock.
Again and again, she smashed it against my temple.
The surging pain sent my body into convulsions.
Blood streamed down my cheeks, dyeing my vision a world of red.
In my last moments of consciousness, I saw her pull out a small knife and slash my face until it was unrecognizable.
She laughed, mocking me.
“You know, I don’t even need to ruin your face.”
“After all, even if you disappear, no one will come looking for you.”
“Fu Liuchuan? We’ve been friends for years. You think I don’t know how much your brother hates you?”
I opened my mouth, but no sound came out.
Only blood, gurgling from the gash in my throat.
Seeing me like this, the smile on Jiang Yao’s lips widened.
“By the way, guess why your brother hates you?”
“Because he found out about your unnatural feelings for him.”
“He found it disgusting.”
Fu Liuchuan knows I love him. He finds it disgusting.
That was the last thought that crossed my mind before I died.
