Chapter 3
The first time I witnessed Jay kill someone, I was floating in mid-air, stunned.
This time, the one pierced through the chest by a sword was an exceptionally beautiful female cultivator, the chief disciple of one of the nine major sects, the Jade Pond Immortal Sect.
-Lynn.
Yet just half an incense stick ago, Lynn was still holding Jay’s arm, calling sweetly, “Jay-Jay.”
Jay turned his head and smiled lightly at her, “Lynn, do you remember what we agreed upon?”
Lynn took out a pearl from her pouch:
“Here, this is the only Nine Revolutions Soul Stabilizing Pearl you wanted, which I managed to steal from the Sect Leader with great difficulty.
“You must not let me down; you promised to become my cultivation partner.”
Jay took the pearl and examined it carefully, responding nonchalantly:
“Alright.”
Lynn blushed deeply, “The matter of becoming cultivation partners still requires the approval of the sect leaders from both sides. To avoid any accidents, I am willing to dual cultivate with Jay-Jay first, tonight…”
Her words abruptly stopped.
Blood gushed from her ample chest, and Lynn fell down in disbelief.
Jay leisurely bent down, his distinctly jointed hand touching her wound, slowly moving downwards.
At that moment, I seemed to hear the tragic sound of an Energy Core shattering.
Lynn indeed screamed out in agony:
“Wh-why?”
Jay’s hand moved to the major point of her Sea of Consciousness, lightly tapping:
“Heh, such a familiar process, can’t remember it? Lynn?”
Lynn’s eyes suddenly widened, in the extreme pain of her Sea of Consciousness being destroyed, she stammered:
“It’s her, you… you did it for her…”
Lynn died, and Jay seemed to glance at me.
Or perhaps it was just a casual look, and then he walked away.
I was fixed in mid-air by that glance.
This is deadly!
