Chapter 13
At the mountain gate, there were countless luxurious carriages and spirit beast mounts, with several major sects already gathered, along with numerous smaller sects and wandering cultivators.
I glanced from afar and headed straight up the mountain.
As the foremost sect of the Nine Provinces, the Sword Sect’s palaces and pavilions were built with grandeur and majesty. Yet now, several great halls were severely damaged, clearly having undergone a great battle.
A great battle, not a fierce one.
Because Jay, in his dark robe embroidered with gold, was standing tall on the Tianxu Terrace, facing the wind.
There was no sign of injury.
His cold gaze suddenly shifted, looking down at me.
“…Qing Xuan failed to trap you.”
I flew up to the Tianxu Terrace, looking up at him, “You lied to me.”
Jay was silent for a moment:
“Avenging her is my personal matter. I don’t want anyone unrelated to interfere. You should leave.”
“I’m not leaving. Even if you drive me away, I won’t go.”
I said tearfully,
“Avenging her is your matter, accompanying you is mine.”
Complex emotions surged in Jay’s dark eyes.
I couldn’t discern what they were, as the distant sound of bustling voices came from the jade steps in front of the mountain.
The sects were also nearing the mountaintop.
“I have some regrets, but since you’re here, it’s good.”
Jay suddenly chuckled lightly,
“Follow me.”
I didn’t understand his intent, only thinking he was willing to let me assist him.
Jay led me into a half-collapsed ruined hall, pulling me to the window and whispering softly:
“From here, you can clearly see everything on the Tianxu Terrace. Soon, you will stand here and watch how I cut down those hypocritical and shameless sects with my sword, alright?”
“What do you want me to do?”
Jay lowered his head and kissed me.
Deeply entwined, lingering and inseparable.
“You don’t need to do anything, just watch closely how much pain those people are in.”
Before I could react from the tenderness, the familiar aura had already left, and another barrier separated us.
“Jay, what are you doing?!”
I anxiously rushed to the barrier, loudly questioning him.
Jay gently gestured for silence, then turned and flew back to the Tianxu Terrace.
