Chapter 5
Zhou Jingcheng sent me a message.
It seems Zhou Jingcheng has removed me from the blacklist.
I thought to myself with a hint of self-mockery.
Zhou Jingcheng asked me to go to his company tomorrow, Monday. He would have the lawyer draft the agreement terms.
Once both parties have no issues with the communication, we can sign and wait for the divorce cooling-off period to pass.
[Okay.]
On Monday, I arrived at Zhou Jingcheng’s company as agreed.
Since I didn’t have an appointment, the receptionist made a call to get approval.
“Yes, a lady with the last name Shen.”
After hanging up, the receptionist directed me to the floor of the President’s office, where a secretary would meet me.
I thanked her and went straight to Zhou Jingcheng’s floor.
A young girl, whom I didn’t recognize, greeted me.
After all, since separating from Zhou Jingcheng, I hadn’t been here for six months.
She was probably a new employee.
“Miss Shen, please wait here. President Zhou is in a meeting.”
The young girl didn’t recognize me either.
She addressed me as Miss Shen and led me to a nearby reception room.
Previously, I would go directly to Zhou Jingcheng’s office to wait.
His meetings would last at least an hour.
I don’t like waiting for people.
Zhou Jingcheng knew this and, to prevent my boredom, would keep many books and discs in his office.
“You can read books and watch movies. If you’re tired, wait for me in the resting room.”
That’s how he used to remind me.
The last time I came, everything that belonged to me in Zhou Jingcheng’s office had been replaced.
The person who could freely enter his private resting room had become someone else.
Now, if I want to see him, I can only wait in the ordinary reception room.
But I really don’t have the mood or energy to argue over such trivial matters now.
So I waited quietly.
Fortunately, there was enough time.
What I didn’t expect was that this time I waited for two hours.
Still, no one came to inform me to see Zhou Jingcheng.
“Excuse me, has your President Zhou finished his meeting?”
Unable to hold back, I directly asked the young girl who had brought me to the reception room.
The young girl hesitated, “President Zhou is still in a meeting…”
I frowned, just about to speak.
Suddenly, I heard voices chatting and laughing nearby.
“Let’s have lunch at that restaurant together.”
“Okay.”
