Summary
The tattoo on the back of Wei Yan’s neck was the initials of his ex-girlfriend’s name. I asked him to get it removed, and he agreed without a second thought.
But when his ex-girlfriend stood at our doorstep, claiming she couldn’t be out in the rain due to her stomach issues, Wei Yan let her in, simply saying to me, “She’s not well.”
So, I opened the door and walked out. After all, I’m healthy and can handle the rain.

The ending left me feeling so unsatisfied because of how much remains unanswered. Since we never got Wei Yan’s POV, I’m left questioning his true feelings. Did he ever genuinely love the female lead? Did he just see her as a substitute for his ex, and why did the FL constantly feel that way? We also never find out what actually happened to the ex-girlfriend.There are so many plot gaps too, one minute he is a medical student, and the next he is some sort of big shot. Apparently, he even pulled strings behind the scenes so the FL didn’t face the typical workplace troubles while they were dating.
I truly enjoyed the story, but my heart absolutely broke for the FL. Losing a parent right after a painful breakup where she felt completely abandoned was devastating while Wei Yan remained an unreadable enigma . It’s just frustrating that so many crucial questions were left completely unanswered
