Chapter 1
The hotel room was pitch black, the lights unlit, as a pair of hands unbuttoned my shirt.
I gripped the person’s wrist.
It was cool, almost soothing.
Only then did I belatedly realize my own body temperature was too high, burning hot, startling him into trying to pull away.
“Bro,” I managed to say with difficulty, “don’t do this, don’t. I don’t want to be with a man.”
I hadn’t fully understood the six genders at first, but after all these years of transmigrating, I should have figured it out.
Still, I wasn’t quite used to it.
Strange, why was I so hot? Had I taken a taxi to Sanya after drinking?
I mumbled, wanting to take off my clothes, but still mindful of the other person in the room.
“Hey, buddy, can you… can you go out? Get another room, I’ll reimburse you.”
He didn’t answer. In the darkness, I felt him straddle me.
No, bro, when I said I didn’t want to be with a man, I didn’t mean I was willing to be with a man.
But my reaction was incredibly unconvincing, and we ended up taking off our clothes anyway.
My last impressions were of his voice, which made my face flush, and it was quite pleasant.
And also…
“Are you crying?”
He just leaned down to kiss me, still not answering.
The next day when I woke up, he was gone, and two thousand yuan lay on the bedside table.
Me: What’s this supposed to mean?
I rubbed my forehead, tidied myself up, and went to check the hotel’s surveillance.
“Ah…” The manager looked apologetic. “I’m very sorry, due to a circuit malfunction, the surveillance footage from that period was not recorded.”
“Huh?” I was skeptical. “There’s footage before, and after, but just the middle part is missing? How can that be such a coincidence?”
Seeing my disbelief, the manager had a girl take me to verify it myself. Sure enough, during the time I needed, the recording was just static.
Seeing the young woman’s troubled expression, as if she feared I’d scold her, I decided to drop it.
But I still needed to find the person. After thinking it over, I called Jian Yu.
The call connected quickly.
“Jian Yu, it’s Lin Dong.”
He hummed in response.
I cut straight to the chase: “Do you know who sent me back after our gathering last night?”
Jian Yu replied, “Not entirely sure.”
“Could you help me ask around? I need to find him for something.”
“Find him for what?”
I suddenly felt a little guilty. Even though I knew that in this world, relationships between men were perfectly normal, I felt it wasn’t a good thing for my brother to know, so I vaguely said:
“Just… just something, alright? Oh, don’t ask. It should be a man, either a Beta or an Omega. If you find him, I’ll treat you to a meal.”
I’m a Beta who can’t smell pheromones, so I couldn’t tell the person’s gender last night.
But I figured, since he was willing to be the bottom, he couldn’t be an Alpha.
Speaking of which, Jian Yu was an Alpha.
I suddenly remembered something and spoke up:
“Hey, wait a minute, is your voice hoarse?”
