Vows in Vain, Ten Years, One Betrayal - Chapter 7
This was probably the first time I had actively asked Zhou Xuyan for money since we got married.
He laughed cheerfully on the other end of the phone, “Honey, isn’t my money already yours?”
“You can just swipe my card anytime.”
“It’s not the same.” I rarely insisted like this.
“Alright, alright. I’ll have Lin Yue transfer the money to you right away.”
“Zhou Xuyan, I won’t take your money for nothing. I have a gift for you too.”
“Three days from now, go to the reception office at our high school alma mater.”
“Find Uncle Song at the reception office. You remember him, don’t you? He’ll give you the gift.”
Zhou Xuyan chuckled at that, “How could I forget?”
“I only transferred there in my senior year, but during my freshman and sophomore years, I wrote you hundreds of love letters, and he was the one who collected them for me.”
I laughed too, “Yes, so three days from now, don’t forget to pick it up.”
“I’m already looking forward to it.”
