Chapter 4
I exited Xiaohongshu and looked up at him.
He was staring at his phone, smiling pleasantly.
My heart suddenly tightened.
Instinctively, I pounced and snatched the phone from his hand.
The screen was playing the video he had used to propose a year ago.
A hint of surprise flickered in his eyes,
But it quickly turned into a smile:
“What, even when we’re about to get married, you’re still doing surprise inspections?”
His phone password was my birthday.
And my fingerprints were also registered on his phone.
When he took a shower, he would just leave his phone casually.
Always so open and honest that I had no room for suspicion.
The reason he was so calm was because he was certain I wouldn’t find anything amiss on this phone.
I forced a smile:
“I also wanted to re-watch this video.”
He gently reminded me:
“Silly, did you forget you saved it yourself?”
“You even said last time that we’d show it to our children when we’re old.”
Vows of growing old together were still fresh in my ears.
Yet, this relationship had already been torn open.
