The Streamer's Allure: Top Fans Vying for Her Affection - Chapter 88
Chapter 88
The Shark Circle was lively again today. Three major gaming streamers had gathered in one place, sparking plenty of discussion and dragging Jiang Zhouzhou into the spotlight as well.
[What kind of drama-magnet physique does this Female Streamer have? Ever since she came to Shark, Shark’s been getting livelier and livelier.]
[To be fair, she’s just pretty.]
[Shark’s Gaming Section hasn’t been this lively in ages. Back in the day, Shark used to dominate the gaming scene. Now… how times have changed.]
[These days, only He Ye’s popularity is still decent. Back when President Han was around, every stream had over a hundred thousand concurrent viewers. The second he went live, he was always number one by a huge margin.]
[Baili got poached by another platform, and President Han suddenly stopped streaming for no reason. After that, Shark’s Gaming Section started going downhill.]
[Yeah. Back then, President Han was the first streamer to break ten million followers. Even though he’s been off the air for two years, he still has the most followers in the Gaming Section.]
Many gaming fans sighed with emotion, reminiscing about Shark’s former glory.
[I just watched the recording of that match. Emperor Dian’s voice sounds kind of familiar.]
There were too many people discussing things in the Fish Circle, and that comment was quickly buried…
After Jiang Zhouzhou ended her stream for the day, she discovered that He Ye and the others had all followed her, so she quietly followed them back.
Just as she was about to exit Shark, she saw that Ye Zi had replied to her private message.
She had previously sent Ye Zi a private message asking for his WeChat, and only now had she received a response.
Her impression of Ye Zi was just like his name: drifting with the wind, appearing and disappearing unpredictably, like a leaf she could never catch.
He had no fixed time to come online. Whether he showed up in her stream each day depended entirely on fate.
Seeing the WeChat ID Ye Zi had sent, Jiang Zhouzhou copied it, pasted it into the search bar, and searched for it. But unexpectedly…
He was already on her friends list!
For a moment, Jiang Zhouzhou stood there with her phone in hand, completely thrown off.
She quickly opened their chat window. It was empty. Then she tapped into Ye Zi’s Moments, only to find it just as clean and blank.
“Strange. Who exactly is he?”
Could he be someone from her university?
But when she had been working part-time during college, she had also added quite a few people because of her job.
At this point, there was no way to determine Ye Zi’s true identity.
After hesitating for a while, Jiang Zhouzhou decided to pretend she had not discovered anything. She changed his contact note to “Ye Zi,” then silently exited WeChat.
Saturday arrived-the day Jiang Zhouzhou and Gu Nanfeng had agreed to meet.
She tied her long hair into a low bun and wore light makeup. On top, she had on a simple white T-shirt, paired with light blue wide-leg jeans. Her casual outfit was clean, refreshing, and still perfectly appropriate.
When the agreed time came, a black Mercedes-Benz car pulled up at the entrance of the residential complex right on schedule.
The car window rolled down, revealing the man’s striking profile.
“Mr. Gu.”
Jiang Zhouzhou, who had been waiting at the entrance, stepped forward and greeted him first.
By six o’clock, the sun had already set. In the afterglow of the sunset, her figure was gilded with a faint layer of gold, making her seem almost unreal for an instant.
Gu Nanfeng looked at her standing so close, and his narrow fox-like eyes went briefly unfocused.
“You must have been waiting a while. Get in.”
He gestured for Jiang Zhouzhou to sit in the passenger seat.
“I wasn’t waiting. I just got here too.”
Jiang Zhouzhou obediently opened the car door, sat down properly, and fastened her seat belt.
Although this was their third time meeting, Jiang Zhouzhou still was not used to it. The moment she closed the car door, she suddenly felt the atmosphere inside the car making the heat in her face climb higher and higher.
Just then, Gu Nanfeng handed her an unopened cup of milk tea. “I heard girls like this kind of thing. I didn’t know what flavor you preferred, so I just bought this one.”
Looking at the milk tea in his hand, Jiang Zhouzhou was a little surprised.
“Th-thank you.”
She took the milk tea, stabbed the straw through the lid, and took a small sip.
The moderately sweet milk tea spread through her mouth, gradually easing her nerves.
Out of the corner of his eye, Gu Nanfeng watched her taking tiny sips, and a faint curve lifted the corner of his mouth.
Compared to the version of her in the livestream, he still preferred the real her offline. Every little expression was vivid and lively.
Most importantly… she was right in front of him.
“What do you want to eat?” Gu Nanfeng asked.
Jiang Zhouzhou tilted her head and looked at him. “Aren’t we going to that restaurant from before?”
Gu Nanfeng said, “That place is expensive, the portions are tiny, and you don’t get full.”
Hearing such a down-to-earth comment from him, Jiang Zhouzhou couldn’t help laughing. “I didn’t expect you to think that way too, Mr. Gu.”
Suddenly, her eyes lit up. “Then let’s go eat barbecue!”
She hadn’t had barbecue in ages, and the craving hit her out of nowhere.
Looking at her expectant eyes, Gu Nanfeng didn’t refuse. “Mm. Then let’s have that.”
Jiang Zhouzhou took out her phone and started navigating. “I know a barbecue place that’s really good. We have to hurry, or it’ll be packed.”
The barbecue place was some distance away. Haishi was already congested with traffic, and by the time the two of them arrived, the sky had gone completely dark.
The barbecue shop had already set up its outdoor stalls by the entrance. The seats outside were almost full, and the air was thick with the smell of grilled meat and cumin, stirring everyone’s appetite.
Jiang Zhouzhou found a table. After confirming with the owner that there would be two of them, she took the initiative to unwrap a set of disposable tableware for Gu Nanfeng.
Gu Nanfeng, who had been somewhat unused to this sort of place, watched the small figure bustling around in front of him and inexplicably found it interesting.
His foxlike eyes narrowed as he studied Jiang Zhouzhou with a half-smile while she busied herself.
“Mr. Gu, order whatever you want to eat. Please don’t be polite.”
The lively atmosphere around them seemed to infect Jiang Zhouzhou. Her tone naturally became more animated, and the smile in her eyes looked even more vivid.
Gu Nanfeng smiled. “All right. Then I won’t hold back.”
Not far away…
“Zhou Xian, am I drunk?”
“How the hell am I seeing Gu Nanfeng at a street stall? And with a woman, no less.”
“That’s impossible! I’ve only had one beer. Did I drink fake alcohol or something?”
Zhou Xian sat to the side, his fingertips slowly rubbing the side of his glass. At the man’s words, a flicker of interest rose in his bored eyes.
He followed the direction the man was pointing. The smile in his eyes chilled in an instant, his gaze turning deep and obscure.
Beside him, his friend was still chattering on.
“Wait, that girl looks kind of familiar. Isn’t she…”
He tried hard to recall, comparing that face to the ones in his memory one by one.
“Right, I remember now… Isn’t that the girl you hit on at the bar? Why is she with Gu Nanfeng?”
His friend sobered up instantly, suddenly feeling like he had caught a whiff of gossip.
Zhou Xian narrowed his eyes, the smile on his lips carrying no warmth. “That Old Fox… he sure moves fast.”
