Chapter 4
After that day.
Life became much more interesting.
I no longer needed to return home at a set time every day, and no one cared if I stayed out all night.
Lu Tong simply reminded me, “Have fun, but stay safe.”
As a wife, she was remarkably calm.
I couldn’t help but ask her, “Aren’t you angry, or jealous?”
As soon as I asked, I felt it was unnecessary.
Her lack of anger or jealousy was actually more reassuring.
She wouldn’t divorce me anyway.
“Oh, by the way, I transferred this month’s living expenses to you.”
I used money to silence whatever she might have wanted to say.
Lu Tong is a yoga instructor.
She doesn’t earn much, but she likes it.
After we got married, I didn’t take away her right to continue working.
But every month, I would give her living expenses on time.
Initially, it was ten thousand, then fifty thousand, and now it’s two hundred thousand.
Lu Tong, cuddling the cat and leaning against the sofa, lazily replied, “Okay.”
At the drinking table, friends always said I had a way with wives.
“Everyone gives living expenses, but how come only Lu Tong is so understanding?”
“In the end, it’s because Zhou-Ge1 is charming.”
They envied me while nervously dealing with the relentless calls from home.
The young lady in my arms was also forced to sit at the other end of the sofa.
And Liang Wan.
She spent the whole night sitting in my lap.
She was unbelievably obedient, just like Lu Tong.
