Chapter 20
The next day after work, I noticed scratch marks on Li Kai’s neck. I guessed he had gone to confront Su Yuluo, and that it had not gone well.
The picture Su Yuluo posted on her Moments also seemed to confirm this.
She had cut her hair short, but the right side of her face was completely covered by her hair. She looked utterly dejected, with the caption: “Starting over.”
It was a case of dogs biting dogs.
Serves her right for constantly sending me vulgar messages insulting my family and trying to provoke me with intimate photos of her and Li Kai.
Yes, they had been secretly meeting up and getting hotel rooms again.
Cheating happens either zero times or countless times.
I thought back to the day I had resolutely demanded a divorce, and the sight of Li Kai on his knees, crying his eyes out. It was so ironic and laughable.
Men’s lies come so easily.
His begging and pleading were nothing more than a stalling tactic!
If I didn’t drive a wedge between them, it would be a disservice to Li Kai’s Oscar-worthy performance and to Su Yuluo’s efforts of sending me photos and videos in the middle of the night.
Li Kai’s fear of AIDS had reached a point of paranoia.
So, with just a little suggestion from me, he didn’t even stop to think before going straight to Su Yuluo to settle the score. He had finally found an outlet, a source for his problems.
Therefore, this time he would not let Su Yuluo off lightly. As for how badly she was beaten, perhaps the half of her face hidden by her hair in her post could offer some clues.
