“Should we head back now?” Gu Xiaoai asked, suddenly remembering the long drive from C City he had undertaken to get here. “I’ve learned to drive, let me take the wheel.”
As she moved to pull open the driver’s side door, an arm restrained her.
Li Juefeng stood behind her, his chest pressing against her back, one hand authoritatively holding her down as he leaned in close, his lips grazing her earlobe seductively. “Gu Xiaoai, are you worried about me?” he murmured, his voice low and laden with innuendo.
…
Today was surreal; his voice inexplicably made her heart skip a beat.
With a flushed face, Gu Xiaoai touched her ear, pretending to be serious. “I’m worried you might get into an accident if you drive too long. I value my life quite a bit.”
Li Juefeng’s smiling face froze. Pressing her against the car with his chest, he caressed her through her shirt, his tone slightly annoyed, “Gu Xiaoai, appropriate sweet nothings are a mistress’s duty.”
…
Being Li Juefeng’s mistress apparently came with many responsibilities.
“Is there a handbook for mistresses? Hand it over, I’ll read it,” Gu Xiaoai said sarcastically, her body chilling against the cold car too much.
“I’ll give it to you,” Li Juefeng said, his lips still on her earlobe, pleased only when he felt her shiver slightly in his arms.
He was determined to win her over within a month.
Struggling against his advances, Gu Xiaoai protested, “Stop it, let’s just go back.”
“We’re not going back to C City. Let’s stay at a hotel for the night,” Li Juefeng suggested ambiguously, patting her pert backside. He had driven three hours to get here; the thought of driving back so soon was unbearable.
“Oh.”
…
Li Juefeng was a man of his word, driving directly to a luxurious hotel and booking a presidential suite as per the GPS directions.
Seeing Gu Xiaoai not getting out of the car, Li Juefeng frowned, opened the door, and looked at the woman curled up in the passenger seat, “Are you coming out on your own, or do I need to drag you out?”
…
Was this man clueless?
“How am I supposed to enter the hotel dressed like this?” Gu Xiaoai tugged at the men’s shirt she was wearing. Walking into the hotel like this would be utterly embarrassing; she didn’t have the nerve for it.
“Always so troublesome,” Li Juefeng snorted coldly, stretching his arm out to pull her from the car and carrying her into the hotel.
