Seven Years of Lies, I Ruined His Life - Chapter 7
For several days in a row, I stayed out.
In fact, I often didn’t go home during the first two months after the divorce.
But this felt completely different.
I called a friend out for drinks.
It turned out his wife was trying to divorce him.
I was about to offer some words of comfort, but he just shook his head nonchalantly. “It’s fine. The bigger the fuss she makes, the less she actually wants a divorce.”
That was true.
Guan Qin had been making a scene for so many years.
But in the end, she went through with the divorce quietly.
I rubbed my face. “So why is your wife making a fuss? Did you do something to provoke her?”
My friend downed a glass of liquor. “What else could it be? She wanted to look at my phone, and I didn’t let her.”
As he spoke, he tossed his phone on the table.
“Brother, does Sister-in-law go through your phone?”
I paused.
I couldn’t recall a single image of that in my mind.
“No… I don’t think so.”
My mouth opened, but the more I spoke, the more hesitant I became.
It wasn’t that I suspected Guan Qin of checking my phone. It was what my friend had said-“I don’t know what’s there to check, it’s not like I’m cheating”-that sent a sudden chill down my spine.
