Seven Years of Lies, I Ruined His Life - Chapter 2
I was having dinner with a few friends.
When they heard that Guan Qin and I were divorced but still living together, their faces were filled with disbelief.
“Brother Jiang, what was the point of your divorce then?”
“Oh! I get it! Brother Jiang couldn’t bear to part with Sister-in-law!”
“I’d say so. After all these years together, you can’t just truly split up.”
As they talked, they raised their glasses to me.
They exchanged a look, then asked with a smile, “I bet it was Sister-in-law who gave in again, right?”
Over the past few years, Guan Qin had brought up divorce countless times.
She cried, complained, and even had hysterics.
But every time I drove her to the Civil Affairs Bureau, she would lower her head and apologize.
It had been this way since our son was born.
She had been going back and forth like this for seven years.
At first, I thought it was just because she had recently given birth.
The doctor said emotional fluctuations in new mothers were normal.
I wondered if it could be postpartum depression.
But even if it was, postpartum depression couldn’t last until our son was in elementary school, could it?
My friend’s words made me let out a sneer.
Feelings this, feelings that.
We were in our thirties. Did they still think we were naive young men?
