Seven Years of Lies, I Ruined His Life - Chapter 18
Guan Qin came back very late.
She smelled of a mixture of sawdust, paint, and sweat.
I frowned.
The little bit of anger in my heart subsided.
Looking like this, who would want Guan Qin?
Seeing me, she paused for a moment, then took the initiative to ask, “Why are you still up?”
I suddenly felt like I had been caught doing something wrong.
I fumbled for the TV remote. “Couldn’t sleep, just looking for a show to watch.”
The TV turned on.
Only then did I feel a bit ridiculous.
It was ridiculous that I would think Guan Qin could find a man looking like this, and even more ridiculous that I would feel guilty for suspecting her of finding another man.
The next morning.
I deliberately observed what Guan Qin was wearing.
She seemed to have lost some weight.
But her clothes were still plain and old-fashioned.
I had planned to follow her to see what she was up to these days.
But then Yu Qing called.
“Yongliang, the store’s grand opening is at ten this morning. Don’t forget to come and show your support.”
I slammed on the brakes, and the car stopped at the intersection.
I had indeed forgotten.
Guan Qin’s car had already turned the corner.
Remembering how Guan Qin looked when she came home last night, I was certain my worries were unnecessary.
So I drove straight to Yu Qing’s new shop.
