Chapter 17
Did the flirtatious fox… get shy?
He transformed into a fiery red fox and dashed away swiftly.
But his tail, raised high, still betrayed him.
I couldn’t help but laugh.
A pot of strong liquor sat on the table before me, and I drank intermittently, yet the pain from my core remained unabated.
Damn it.
The snake’s core I used to prolong my life wouldn’t last much longer.
After finishing the pot of liquor, I looked up at the moon in the sky, feeling a bit dazed.
“Strange, why are there two moons in the sky?”
I staggered to my feet, feeling as if the world was spinning.
My legs lacked strength, and after taking a couple of steps, I lost my balance and fell headlong to the ground.
Someone caught me and pulled me up.
I squinted to see who it was.
Oh, it’s the little fox, he’s back again.
“How much did you drink?”
His tone was slightly disdainful, and I instantly felt aggrieved.
“It hurts~”
Hu Qing paused, not speaking for a long time.
I tugged at his clothes to stand a bit straighter, turning my head to meet his rosy lips.
Suddenly, I felt quite thirsty.
Perhaps it was the alcohol, or maybe the allure was too tempting.
In any case, when I stood on tiptoe to kiss Hu Qing, my mind went blank.
Then, fireworks exploded in my head.
I, Jiang Ran, never imagined that I would, in a drunken stupor… take advantage of a fox.
…
The next day when I woke up, Hu Qing was lying beside me, propped up on his elbow, watching me.
Me: “???”
He smiled brightly: “You’re awake?”
I glanced down at my clothes, which were somewhat disheveled.
I then turned to look at his robe, and… it barely covered him.
Heart weary, let it all be destroyed.
