Reborn on Divorce Day: Destroying My Murderer Husband - Chapter 17
Half an hour later, I received a call from Yuan Chen.
His voice was no longer calm; it trembled slightly.
“Yanyan, please stay calm. I’m on my way to the airport now. There are some things I want to discuss with you in person.”
“Is it still necessary?” I was sitting in front of the computer, organizing all the phone recordings Chen Yinan had given me.
Fortunately, he had some sense and knew to record his conversations with Yuan Chen.
It seemed he originally intended to use this to bind Yuan Chen, ensuring they would remain on the same boat for life, allowing him to live the rest of his life in peace after fleeing abroad.
After he handed everything over to me, I promised Chen Yinan that I wouldn’t let Yuan Chen have the chance to trouble him.
There was a long silence on the other end of the line before he finally spoke, “Yanyan, I’m sorry. I know there are things you can’t forgive. But you should understand how I’ve treated you these past eight years. Besides, the company is the joint effort of both our families.”
“I know. If it weren’t for my share in the company, you wouldn’t have wanted me dead.”
After saying this, I sent all the evidence to the lawyer.
“Yuan Chen, between you and me, it’s over.”
