Summary
After a childhood rescue leaves Shen Tangli simple-minded, she journeys to the northern frontier, believing its fierce winds can dry the “water” from her head and make her clever enough for the crown prince who despises her.
There she mistakes his formidable uncle, Zhao Linyuan, for her betrothed—and discovers in the battle-scarred Prince of Zhenbei a man who treasures her pear-blossom stitches, restores her lost courage, and teaches her that love should never make her feel small.
