Chapter 5
Months after “Evening Fish” vanished online, I posted again.
Evening Fish: New donation channel—if unused old books, contact for pickup;
Top hot comment from Lin Rulan.
Dawn Watcher: Last tweet I wished—never dreamed it’d happen. Thanks blogger, our feedback [pictures]
Busy with school, forgot feedback—my wish-blogging wasn’t for fame, just netting worthy helps… But account exploded, good for more.
Like library stock.
Pre-ordered tons new books—but not enough to fill. Thought: Solicit public donations.
Many channels, applied—but waitlist long.
Lin approving my idea posted feedback first.
Tweet blew up again—most offered books, few accused hype, quickly shut down.
“Gentlemen judge actions not motives. Say she hypes charity? Donate millions for a library first!”
“Reminds me mocking celebs ‘only’ donating hundreds of thousands… You donate that much?”
“Good deeds: Anonymous fine, public fine—it’s good, no shame.”
“Blogger really fulfills wishes thoughtfully…”
“If this is hype, hope more wish-bloggers hype like this :)”
“Some ridiculous—school teachers/kids thank her, you snark.”
“Only me think blogger super rich (dazed)”
“Now see blogger picks targeted wishes—my chances slim… But oddly, seeing top feedback happier than my own granted.”
“Me too—low tear threshold, pic of kids squatting by library waiting… Eyes stung, wanna cry…”
“No wonder vanished, fewer readings—doing this.”
“Sob sob ashamed, someone craves books unseen, my five-year buys still sealed [picture]”
“Packaged unsealed new books, sent with cards—hope study hard, read lots, go far.”
…
Ignored online feedback—not big on opinions.
Randomly granted more wishes, finally home—hugged pillow, slept dead.
Case closed; Yu Yan texted weekly updates, thriving in college.
Little Charity cheerfully: [Host, your value surged! This school will produce many greats!]
I saw it.
Most students’ auras bright—especially Xu Xiao’s orange-red, rare like her name: Dawn’s finest clouds.
“They’ll give back to school,” I rubbed soft blanket, mumbling. “Good deeds tiring—vacation time.”
[But host, you’re already good—or I wouldn’t bind you.]
I praised unstintingly: [You’re the good system, Little Charity. Without you, couldn’t do much.]
Beyond auras, I’m ordinary grad.
Pondered Little Charity’s purpose—like higher-dimensional product, goal-driven yet flexible. All from pure goodwill, no selfishness.
It chose me.
Little Charity amplifies greed—not everyone with billions stays selfless for “values.”
But knowing I can’t save, I’m chill.
Plus, aligns with my “merit-building.”
If host profiles, I’m perfect match.
Suspect wheel rigged—100% Philanthropist.
But no probing—I dislike digging. If meaningful and enjoyable, enough.
Aid self when poor; world when able.
Ordinary me dreams saving world—because world’s been kind to me.
