Chapter 104 - A Betrayal from My Sister
Tang Yaoyao was shocked, her mouth agape in disbelief.
Shen Yiqiu hurriedly explained, “Actually, I was mistaken. I don’t like that person anymore.”
Tang Yaoyao nodded hesitantly, choosing not to pursue the topic further. Instead, she scrutinized Shen Yiqiu’s makeup, slightly furrowing her brows, and asked, “Yiqiu, who taught you to apply makeup like this?”
“…I learned it myself online,” Shen Yiqiu replied awkwardly, her expression somewhat unnatural. “Does it look bad?”
“It’s caking. Yiqiu, this youthful style of makeup doesn’t suit you,” Tang Yaoyao said, pulling out her makeup kit from her bag to help Shen Yiqiu fix it. She asked curiously, “And why did you suddenly decide to wear makeup today? You usually go bare-faced.”
Shen Yiqiu pursed her lips and softly said, “I thought it would be more appropriate to look formal when visiting students’ homes.”
After helping Shen Yiqiu with her makeup, the two chatted for a while. Tang Yaoyao winked playfully and said, “Alright, since Teacher Shen is visiting for a home visit, I made a whole table of dishes. Let’s eat together?”
“Okay,” Shen Yiqiu nodded, standing up quickly when she saw Tang Yaoyao heading to the kitchen to bring out the dishes. “Let me help.”
“Why so formal?” Tang Yaoyao looked at her strangely and laughed, “You’re a guest, just relax.”
“No worries, I’ll help you,” Shen Yiqiu insisted, helping to set the dishes on the table.
Tang Yaoyao’s culinary skills were excellent, and she had prepared a table full of dishes. After arranging them, she called out, “Jin, come out for dinner!”
“Okay.” Tang Huaijin replied from the bedroom, coming out in his pajamas. Seeing the lavish spread, he smiled and said, “Sis, it’s been a while since you cooked.”
“Don’t say that,” Tang Yaoyao blushed, playfully scolding him with a smile as she invited Shen Yiqiu to eat.
Shen Yiqiu ate with grace, sitting upright, taking small bites, holding her bowl delicately, and chewing softly with her rosy lips, making almost no sound.
Tang Yaoyao was accustomed to her best friend’s eating habits and wasn’t surprised.
Tang Huaijin, however, was eating with Shen Yiqiu for the first time and felt there was a unique charm to it. But with his sister present, he dared not stare.
After a few bites, Shen Yiqiu put down her chopsticks and said to Tang Yaoyao, “Yaoyao, I’ve nominated Tang Huaijin for the national calligraphy exhibition.”
“National calligraphy exhibition?” Tang Yaoyao asked, puzzled. “What national calligraphy exhibition?”
Shen Yiqiu explained the rules and rewards, adding, “Achieving results in such a prestigious competition can add valuable credentials to his resume, greatly benefiting his future career.”
“And I’m confident that with Tang Huaijin’s current level, he can definitely make it to the top ten.”
Tang Yaoyao absorbed the key information: a top prize of one hundred thousand yuan and future benefits. Her eyes lit up, and she said, “That’s great, I agree.”
Shen Yiqiu glanced at Tang Huaijin, who looked awkward, and softly said, “But your brother disagrees, saying he’s not interested. What a pity.”
She sighed and added, “I’ve already nominated him. If he doesn’t participate, the other association presidents might have opinions about me.”
Hearing this, Tang Yaoyao immediately turned to Tang Huaijin and said, “Teacher Shen means well, and you’re just dismissing her kindness? You’re still young and don’t understand how beneficial this experience will be for your future career. Not to mention, if you pursue writing, reputation is crucial, understand?”
Tang Huaijin replied sheepishly, “Sis…”
Seeing his reluctance, Tang Yaoyao became a bit angry, thinking he was getting too complacent, even disregarding the one hundred thousand yuan prize. She asked sternly, “Are you going or not?”
“Alright, alright, I’ll go,” Tang Huaijin replied, feeling exasperated.
Sis, you’re really pushing me into the fire pit.
Tang Yaoyao finally smiled with satisfaction and turned to Shen Yiqiu, saying, “Don’t worry, Yiqiu, Jin listens to me the most.”
“By the way, I heard the event is in Jingdu? How will Jin get there?”
“I’ll arrange everything. I’ll accompany him as his nominator,” Shen Yiqiu said, her expression slightly unnatural. “Yaoyao, rest assured, I’ll take good care of your brother.”
“Of course, I trust you,” Tang Yaoyao replied cheerfully.
Though she had peeked at Tang Huaijin’s study materials and knew he liked this type of event, even if she didn’t trust her brother, she trusted Shen Yiqiu.
Tang Yaoyao was well aware of her best friend’s fear of men.
Noticing Shen Yiqiu’s subtle look of triumph, Tang Huaijin was beginning to doubt his life choices.
…
After dinner, Shen Yiqiu insisted on washing the dishes, saying it was to thank Tang Yaoyao for persuading Tang Huaijin to participate.
Watching the elevator door close with Teacher Shen inside, Tang Huaijin finally breathed a sigh of relief and followed his sister back home.
“Sis, what did you tell Teacher Shen?” Tang Huaijin still remembered Shen Yiqiu’s purpose for visiting.
Tang Yaoyao looked a bit embarrassed and mumbled, “I told her about you two pretending to be a couple, so she won’t bother you anymore.”
“…,” Tang Huaijin’s face darkened, his mouth twitching involuntarily.
So after all my efforts to deceive Shen Yiqiu, you just went and betrayed me?
An inside job?
Seeing his displeased expression, Tang Yaoyao thought he was embarrassed. She felt a bit guilty, stuck out her tongue, and pulled Tang Huaijin onto the sofa, snuggling up to him and said coyly, “Oh, Yiqiu and I are friends. She won’t spread it around, don’t worry, it’s fine.”
Actually, Tang Yaoyao felt a little guilty too. She was too embarrassed to tell her younger brother that the “fake girlfriend” she wanted to find for him was actually his teacher.
That matters! Your best friend…
She’s not quite right!
Tang Huaijin looked at his innocent-faced sister with a helpless smile, wanting to tell her the truth, but afraid it would ruin their relationship and make things awkward for both of them.
“Hehe, alright, I know Jin feels embarrassed.” Tang Yaoyao wrapped her arms around her brother’s neck, pecked gently at his lips, and said softly, “Then let your sister give you a kiss, okay?”
Tang Huaijin pulled his sister onto his lap, lowered his head slightly, captured her rosy lips, kissed her gently a few times, then let her go and whispered, “Sis, I have something to tell you.”
His sister’s alluring lips instinctively parted a little, her eyes dreamy as she gazed at Tang Huaijin, murmuring, “What is it?”
After a moment’s hesitation, Tang Huaijin said, “Bai Yuerou’s parents found out about us.”
Tang Yaoyao instantly sobered up, a trace of panic flickering in her eyes. These past few days had been the happiest for her; not only had her guilt lessened, but there was also a faint sense of excitement–after all, though Bai Yuerou held the title of her brother’s girlfriend, the one truly close and intimate with him was herself.
So she didn’t want these days to end. With a bit of panic, she asked, “Th-then what should we do? Will her parents agree?”
Tang Huaijin sighed and said, “Think about it–no matter how open-minded her parents are, there’s no way they’d agree for their daughter to play along with such a ridiculous fake relationship, right?”
Tang Yaoyao bit her lip, and suddenly thought of Shen Yiqiu. Right, didn’t she just lose her crush?
But quickly, Tang Yaoyao dismissed that thought. Shen Yiqiu was Tang Huaijin’s teacher, after all!
Seeing his sister’s lost expression, Tang Huaijin’s look grew complicated. Though pretending to be a couple had indeed made his sister better, she still couldn’t get past that hurdle in her heart. Maybe he really should listen to Doctor Bai and give his sister a slight push.
He said gently, “That’s why we can’t let her parents know we’re only pretending. We can only keep acting in front of them. Actually, her parents have already invited me over for dinner this Saturday. If we can convince them that Bai Yuerou and I are truly together, they probably won’t try to stop us.”
Hearing this, Tang Yaoyao felt a bit relieved, but the thought of her brother going to their house for dinner made her uncomfortable again.
But Tang Yaoyao wasn’t a fool–just a little thought made her realize the stakes, and she knew this might be the best solution for now. Reluctantly, she said, “Alright then…”
Seeing his sister like this, Tang Huaijin smiled and said softly, “Are you jealous?”
“Mm…” Tang Yaoyao replied in a pitiful little voice.
Tang Huaijin bowed his head and kissed his sister gently on the forehead, whispering, “So, Sis, you really should try to get past that barrier in your heart.”
Tang Yaoyao keenly caught the fatigue in her brother’s eyes, and her heart ached for him. She knew it couldn’t be easy for Tang Huaijin being stuck in the middle. With cheeks flushed, she pursed her lips, looked up for his kiss, gently took his hand and placed it on her chest, murmuring softly, “You can touch me, Jin.”
Tang Huaijin’s breathing gradually grew heavier. His large hand kneaded her full, sacred place–touched only by him–greedily seeking her lips, while his other hand slowly slipped under her pajamas.
Feeling her body tense, Tang Huaijin halted his hand’s advance, raised his head, and asked hoarsely, “Sis, can I go in?”
“N-no…” Noticing the disappointment in Tang Huaijin’s eyes, Tang Yaoyao hesitated, then whispered mosquito-like, “Just don’t go inside, and you can touch however you like.”
Tang Huaijin didn’t want to force her. He withdrew his hand from under her pajamas, both hands now cupping her snowy peaks, kneading them firmly, savoring their incredible elasticity. After playing for a bit, he pinched the gradually hardening tip, gently rubbing it.
His sister’s body immediately went limp, her parted lips letting out a soft whimper, as if pleading, “Jin…”
It was as if this sound ignited the desire in Tang Huaijin’s heart. He kneaded her harder, lowered his head, and, through the knitted pajamas, gently took the little red bean into his mouth, grinding it softly with his teeth.
“Jin, ah, don’t bite…” Tang Yaoyao’s face flushed deeply, her eyes thick with passion. Her delicate hands weakly caressed Tang Huaijin’s head, biting her lip hard, but as her sensitive tip was teased by her brother, waves of tingling heat shot to her brain, making her moan uncontrollably, “Sister… I can’t take it… ah~”
Suddenly, her grip on Tang Huaijin’s hair tightened, and as her body convulsed, she let out a cry like a sob, shivering as if shocked by electricity, her soft body collapsing weakly onto the sofa.
Did… did Sis just…?
Tang Huaijin stared, dumbfounded, at his sister’s vacant eyes, swallowing hard before tentatively calling, “Sis?”
Tang Yaoyao, her face flushed, seemed to be just coming back from that blissful paradise. Seeing Tang Huaijin’s astonished expression, she was mortified, trying to get up from the sofa but finding herself too weak.
Tang Huaijin hurried forward to pick her up.
Tang Yaoyao struggled feebly, her eyes reddening from shame, choking out, “You… you… you bullied your sister.”
Tang Huaijin knew she was just embarrassed, and quickly comforted her, “It’s okay, it’s okay, that’s just a normal physiological reaction, nothing to worry about. I’ll carry you to bed, alright?”
Tang Yaoyao pouted and ignored him, letting him carry her back to the bedroom, then shooed him out, telling him they’d settle this tomorrow.
