Chapter 11
I looked at Zhou Xuan’s suddenly pale face before me, and an absurd feeling surged in my heart.
The dull pain in my stomach returned with a vengeance, more intense this time, to the point of being unbearable.
I clutched my stomach and bent over.
Perhaps my expression was too pained, as Zhou Xuan came over to support me without even tidying his disheveled clothes.
“Don’t touch me!”
I straightened up abruptly and slapped him across the face.
I used all my strength, and Zhou Xuan’s face was knocked to the side, quickly swelling with redness.
“Disgusting, Zhou Xuan, you two are disgusting!”
My eyes stung, and the tears blurred my vision.
I wanted to slap him again, but the spasmodic pain in my stomach sapped all my strength.
“Don’t be so angry, Jiangjiang.”
Lin Xingyue, having tidied her clothes, stepped out from behind him with a nonchalant demeanor.
She gave me a slight smile:
“Didn’t you say we were best friends, and you’d share anything with me?”
“So it’s only normal for me to share your boyfriend, right?”
I looked at her, the buzzing of tinnitus ringing in my ears.
Countless fragmented memories flashed through my mind.
That rainy evening, through a pane of glass, Zhou Xuan slipped a diamond ring onto Lin Xingyue’s hand.
While I was sobbing uncontrollably, he was on the opposite side, looking at the ambiguous messages she sent.
Lin Xingyue’s red spaghetti-strap dress, the clinking wine glasses, the hair clip she deliberately left on Zhou Xuan’s passenger seat.
The enormous secret they both hid.
At first, they were at each other’s throats, with Lin Xingyue calling Zhou Xuan by his full name.
But later, it turned into Senior Zhou.
I trembled as I looked at them:
“So there was never any failed confession, the person Lin Xingyue liked.”
“It was always the two of you tangled together.”
“Disgusting, you two, really…”
The intense nausea collided with the churning pain in my stomach.
My vision went black, and I lost consciousness.
