Chapter 87 - Seizing the Elixir!

“Such formidable presence! But your strength is still far less than mine, and even with him, defeating me is quite difficult for you! Yet now I’m interested not only in the elixir but also in that treasure you’re carrying!” The Fire Eater glanced at Leng Mo, its crimson tongue licking its lips.

“Then let’s see!” Leng Yan fiercely leapt up, thrusting a pillar of ice from his palm.

The ice pillar was over a meter thick and over ten meters long, radiating cold air as it hurtled toward the Fire Eater.

Almost simultaneously, Leng Mo moved, attacking from behind to cut off the Fire Eater’s retreat! Flames blazed on the Fire Eater’s body, and its expression grew serious in the face of Leng Yan’s assault. Two scarlet fangs protruded from its mouth as it let out roars.

With a powerful push of its hind legs, it launched forward like an arrow, heading straight for the ice pillar! During its attack, molten magma gathered on its forehead.

“Boom!”

The ice pillar shattered under the Fire Eater’s immense power. Leng Yan had anticipated this. The sun essence wheel, spinning like the sun itself, came swiftly with a sharp wind force.

“Swish!”

The sun essence wheel left a deep mark on the Fire Eater’s neck, but no blood oozed out. Startled by this, Leng Yan exclaimed, “How is this possible?”

“I am a spirit of the fire; I have no blood. If you think you can kill me, you’re dreaming!” The Fire Eater laughed loudly at Leng Yan’s surprised expression.

Leng Yan swiftly dodged the Fire Eater’s claws, his mind racing for a strategy. Since the Fire Eater had no blood, it must be fundamentally tied to fire and magma from which it was born. He figured that if he could detonate them, it might be possible to extinguish it.

Having missed its attack, the Fire Eater surprisingly didn’t continue its pursuit but instead focused on the elixir. Leng Yan hadn’t expected the Fire Eater to be so cunning!

“Get lost!”

Leng Yan moved in, manifesting a giant golden long sword in his hand, and forcefully swung it, knocking the Fire Eater away.

“If you want the elixir, you’ll have to get through me first!” Leng Yan shouted furiously, positioning himself in front of the elixir, gripping the Azure Sky Sword tightly.

Leng Mo’s repeated attacks had all missed, and in frustration, he charged forward, summoning the golden bell shield to protect himself as he struck out with his palm.

Before the Fire Eater could even get back up, Leng Mo struck it down again, yet despite the impact, the attack only knocked it down, failing to inflict any real damage.

“Falling Flame! Destroy them for me!”

Though uninjured, being knocked down twice enraged the Fire Eater. It leapt up fiercely, flames roaring to life on its body as it let out a furious roar. The sky above was suddenly covered in red magma.

The red magma fell like shooting stars. Leng Yan and Leng Mo quickly raised their protections and launched a counterattack!

The Falling Flame resembled a meteor shower, continuing for several seconds. As Leng Yan and Leng Mo were busy dealing with the Falling Flame, the Fire Eater made a dash for the Qingyun Pill.

The Fire Eater collided with the moon essence wheel’s defense, causing it to tremble and develop several cracks!
