Lustful? So What? - Chapter 22
He followed me home, looking slightly humiliated.
I poked his chest, then ran my hand over his abs. The experience was like petting a cat; a sexy man can really give you a lot of strength.
He tried to grab my hand. I protested, “Don’t move! You came all this way, just let me touch for a minute!”
He complied for less than five minutes before things spiraled out of my control.
The loss of control felt like free-falling.
His emotions were overflowing, a torrent of pent-up frustrations.
In the throes of passion, it was almost as if he loved me.
He asked if I had missed him over the past six months.
He asked why I didn’t reply to his message.
He asked if I felt smug for dumping him as soon as I got what I wanted.
He asked about all the men who had appeared in my vlogs and what my relationship with them was.
At first, I answered truthfully, but soon I couldn’t keep up.
And if my lies were too obvious, he would get upset.
Eventually, I passed out from exhaustion.
When I woke up, I was starving. “Cheng Yedu, what do you want for takeout?”
I scrolled through my phone with one hand while drawing circles on his chest with the other.
He grumbled, “I think you see me as takeout.”
No need to be so crude…
He insisted on eating out and chose an absurdly expensive restaurant.
It was one of those “ambiance” places where the steak portions were tiny and the taste was mediocre, but it was perfect for a date.
After dinner, he paid the bill, then picked up the rose from the vase on the table and started to walk out.
The waiter chased after him. He waved a hand back nonchalantly.
“The lady will pay for it.”
I was suddenly out 25 dollars for no reason.
I had no idea what his problem was.
He sniffed the flower as we walked down the midnight street. He stated with certainty:
“You don’t like me as much as you used to.”
“You never liked me that much, even when we were together. At first, you would get sad if I was close with other girls. But later, you couldn’t wait to push me away.”
I did get sad, but that sadness wasn’t enough to compete with my future.
I still had to focus on my own goals.
We were both controlling people, craving submission from the other while also craving control over our own lives.
As bed buddies, we were perfect for each other.
No one else was as intense, as stimulating, as good at playing the game.
But in every other aspect, we weren’t a good match.
