Chapter 10
Since that night, Ji Ming and I have been like any ordinary couple, holding hands, hugging, and kissing.
Yet he never touched me, even when the tent was set up. He would just take cold showers to deal with it himself, as if he were keeping himself for someone.
“Brother, you really don’t have to hold back.”
I knelt on the bed, using a towel to dry Ji Ming’s hair after his cold shower.
“You’re still young, I don’t want to–”
“I’m already twenty-one, and I’ll graduate from college after one more semester.”
I draped the towel over Ji Ming’s head and hugged him from behind.
He clasped my hand in front of him, interlocking our fingers.
“I want to wait until you’ve given me your whole heart, and then–”
I froze, suddenly wondering if he had discovered something, and quickly played dumb.
“How have I not given you my whole heart? I go out early and come back late with you every day. Not just my heart, my body has long been yours.”
I muttered, secretly complaining about him being a capitalist exploiting me.
But he didn’t get sidetracked.
“You can fool yourself, but you can’t fool me.” He turned to me, his voice unusually gentle, “I know you have concerns, and I have concerns too. Once I’ve resolved all my concerns, we’ll be together openly, okay?”
I didn’t want to discuss those intangible things with him; the more said, the more mistakes made, better not to say anything.
“You’re right, you’re still the other person, not openly acknowledged.”
I got up, intending to pull my hand away and get off the bed, but his grip suddenly tightened, pulling me back.
“You haven’t broken up with him?”
The towel fell, and my body pressed against his bare back.
“Breaking up needs to be done face-to-face. When do I have time to find him now?”
“Has he tried to contact you recently? Are you still in touch?”
He continued questioning, his grip not loosening.
“I told him I’m busy with work every day, so he said he wouldn’t disturb me.”
He seemed to believe me and finally let go of my hand, allowing me to get up and escape.
But the next second, he turned around and pinned me back onto the bed.
“Really? I don’t believe you.”
He propped himself up on the bed, his upper body muscles showing.
“Hey, Ji Ming! This is really unfair! Why are you the only one with trust issues? I haven’t even asked if you have someone outside!”
I protested, my hands randomly patting him, taking the opportunity to feel his abs.
He grabbed my left hand: “I don’t.”
“Really? I don’t believe you.”
My right hand didn’t relent, continuing to explore.
“Then check for yourself.”
He guided my right hand to his chest.
“How do I check?”
Seeing him so proactive, I got a bit scared, quickly curling my hand back, retracting the other one too.
“How else can you check?”
He leaned down, launching an “attack” on my collarbone.
“Hey! Ji Ming, control yourself! You just took a cold shower!”
“Then I’ll take another one later.”
I’m really shameless, knowing he gets jealous easily, yet always teasing him, ending up suffering myself.
Forget it, just consider it hormone adjustment.
He’s quite handsome, and his body is pretty good.
No loss.
