Good Night, Mr. Ghost - Chapter 112
Night descended.
Meng Loudi and Jiang Chenyi had already fallen asleep under the covers.
Meng Jiang, Jiang Meng, and the little sparrow were huddled together, emitting soft snores.
Qing Hua sat in his room, opened his computer, and looked at the data sent by his subordinates.
“Sigh–this is really troublesome. Who’s spreading these rumors? There have been more riots lately.”
The white-haired young man rubbed his temples, smoothing out his furrowed brow, picked up the phone, and glanced at the name at the top of the list. He sighed.
“Forget it, let’s take another look. That person is already exhausted enough.” Qing Hua picked up the phone and sent a message to his trusted aides, instructing them to keep an eye on those troublemakers.
He looked again at the files on the computer.
Though they were called rumors, they weren’t entirely false.
Some parts were true.
The young man sighed, feeling he was bound to work himself to death sooner or later.
On one hand, he had to appease the little ones who knew nothing, and on the other, he had to prevent those who knew the truth from spilling it.
Tsk.
Qing Hua felt grateful he hadn’t gone bald.
The door suddenly swung open, and a strong fragrance wafted in. A young man in a red robe appeared at the entrance.
Qing Hua adjusted his glasses, “You’re here? Where are the others?”
Hu Linzhi swayed his large red tail, walked over gracefully, and said with a smile, “What others? I’m here, isn’t Qing Hua happy?”
As he spoke, he revealed his sharp canine teeth, his crimson tongue pressed against them, and a layer of seductive allure enveloped his beautiful face.
Qing Hua froze, standing there, unsure of how to react.
Hu Linzhi walked over, his long red hair simply braided into a plait and draped over his shoulder, his fiery fox ears twitching atop his head.
His slender arms reached out, pulling the person closer, the fox spirit blinked his light-colored eyes and whispered, “Just me, isn’t that enough?”
“What’s gotten into you? Let go.” Qing Hua frowned, using rejection to mask his unease.
“No.” Hu Linzhi didn’t let go, directly pulling him in for a kiss.
“You!” Qing Hua pushed him away abruptly, covering his lips in a panic, glaring at him.
The fox spirit twisted his waist, sat on the table, playing with his tail, eyes filled with seductive charm, “What? Not even a kiss?”
Qing Hua took a deep breath, “Get out.”
The fox spirit propped himself up, flipping onto the desk, leaning closer to the flustered Qing Hua, eyes filled with sorrow, “Qing Hua, I’ve waited for you for two hundred years, and you still won’t agree to be with me? Is your heart made of stone? How many more two hundred years does a fox spirit have? In this world now, you know better than I do, right? What more do you want from me?”
His face showed grief, tugging at Qing Hua’s heart.
Hu Linzhi reached out, caressing the other’s cheek, “We are all abandoned beings, can’t we even warm each other?”
“Linzhi, I…”
“Are you going to reject me?”
“No…”
“Anyway, no one’s around now, Qing Hua, give it to me, just as fulfilling my last wish. After this, I won’t bother you anymore, really, Qing Hua.” The fox spirit embraced the young man’s body sorrowfully, savoring the scent of grass and wood on him.
He truly had no time left to wait.
Waiting any longer would lead to a conclusion he couldn’t bear.
Qing Hua couldn’t utter a single word.
Hu Linzhi gently touched the other’s body, receiving no resistance.
Even though the other’s body was stiff, it was still a form of acceptance, wasn’t it?
The fox spirit showed a happy smile.
Everything was going according to plan.
Next, he just needed to enjoy the sweet fruit he had waited so long for.
The deliciousness he had longed for so much.
Qing Hua pressed down on the other’s shoulders, his eyes filled with restraint and panic, “To the bed, not here.”
“Alright.” The fox spirit bit his lip, leading him into the bedroom.
Qing Hua accepted the other’s actions, like a lamb laid on the chopping board, unable to resist, and unwilling to resist.
Hu Linzhi explored, leaving marks on the other’s neck.
“Qing Hua, from now on, enjoy yourself.”
And outside the door filled with springtime passion, were several pairs of glowing eyes.
“Let’s go, let’s lure Meng Loudi out.”
The three walked towards another room.
Mr. Ghost opened his eyes.
Jiang slept soundly, Meng Loudi reached out, put on his clothes, and stepped into his shoes, leaving the room.
Outside the door were three people.
“What are you doing?” Mr. Ghost closed the door.
The purple-haired woman smiled gently, “Mr. Meng, please come out for a moment, we have important matters to discuss.”
“Go out?”
“Yes, let’s talk outside.” Ajiao said with a smile.
Meng Loudi glanced back at the door behind him, nodded, “Alright, then let’s go.”
The four left.
Jiang lay on the bed, listening to the sounds outside.
What would happen next?
The window was opened by someone.
There was the sound of feathers flapping.
Footsteps lightly fell.
Something scattered.
Jiang Chenyi maintained normal breathing, closing his eyes.
A young man dressed in black walked over, “Alright, let’s go.”
Another person looked at the little creatures huddled in the nest and asked, “Don’t we need to take these with us?”
“No need.” The young man picked him up, “Next, it’s their problem.”
Jiang, wearing a nightgown, lay limp in his arms, already unconscious.
The woman looked at him, chuckled, “I really wonder what kind of expressions those guys will show then.”
The two achieved their goal and flew away through the window.
Meng Loudi and the three others walked outside the building.
Mr. Ghost looked at them, then at the building behind him, “Speak, what is this about?”
Ajiao revealed a soft smile, “Do you know what our meeting this time is about?”
“I’m not clear.”
The snake demon showed her thick, long snake tail, looking at him with a gentle expression on her face, “Then you know Bao’er the shopkeeper, the guardian deity of the Jiang Family, the eight treasures box Bao’er.”
“I know, and then?” Mr. Ghost asked coldly.
Ajiao smiled, “What we’re discussing this time is what we should do after Bao’er sacrifices himself, whether to follow in their footsteps or something else.”
“Is that so? Then why did you want to fight me?” Mr. Ghost looked down.
At some point, small plants had already wound around his shoe soles, slowly spreading.
The peach tree demon showed a helpless expression, “I thought your attention was all on Ajiao.”
With his words, the vines surged, enveloping Meng Loudi like a thorny birdcage imprisoning a fierce bird.
Hua Se was beside them, wagging her tail, her previously timid expression now showing grievance, “Because we’re not sure what you’re capable of, after all, you’re a ghost, so the three of us are dealing with you alone.”
The tiger spirit tilted his head, “This setup, isn’t it underestimating you?”
Meng Loudi looked at them, “Where are Dong Feixi and Hu Linzhi?”
“Don’t worry about them, worry about yourself.” Ajiao revealed her venomous fangs, the white poison teeth etched into her lips, leaving small indentations.
Mr. Ghost slowly released the ghostly aura from his body, asking, “What is your purpose in doing this?”
The peach tree demon twirled the small peach blossom in his hand, saying, “Can’t tell you.”
Hua Se shook her thick tiger tail, leaving marks on the ground, “For our future.”
Ajiao laughed, “To ensure our survival.”
“You lured me out, your target is Chenyi, right?” Mr. Ghost’s ghostly aura transformed into countless ghost claws, tearing apart the flower branches enveloping him.
His pitch-black eyes turned into scarlet ghost pupils.
“Truly clever.” Ajiao clapped her hands, “I wonder, with only thirty percent of your strength, what can you still do?”
“It’s not thirty percent, it’s half.” Mr. Ghost calmly corrected her mistake.
The peach tree demon’s expression froze, “In less than a month, you’ve recovered twenty percent?”
“Yes.” Mr. Ghost revealed a happy smile, which appeared somewhat terrifying in the eyes of the three.
With the coiled dragon jade ring, wasn’t it a simple matter for him to recover?
These scoundrels.
Hua Se was the first to act, transforming directly into a three-meter-long tiger, pouncing towards Meng Loudi.
The peach tree demon and Ajiao also began their assault.
Ultimately, it’s different.
Ghosts, to a certain extent, restrain demons.
Meng Loudi dodged, summoning the ghostly aura from his body, and engaged in a struggle with the three.
The momentum of the four chiefs erupted on this small piece of land.
It also attracted the attention of the first chief.
Qing Hua looked outside with a bewildered gaze, murmuring, “What’s going on?”
Hu Linzhi knew the action had already begun, he smiled, caressing the man’s cheek, speaking in a hoarse voice, “Look at me, now, do you still have time to pay attention to others?”
Dawn.
Meng Loudi lay on the ground, eyes wide open, tightly bound by flower vines.
Ajiao looked at her tattered purple dress, slumped on the ground, her snake tail curled into a ball.
Hua Se licked her wounds beside him, her gaze towards Meng Loudi was far from friendly.
The peach tree demon stood awkwardly to the side, looking at Meng Loudi with a strange expression.
Hu Linzhi pushed open the window, jumped down from the fifth floor, feeling refreshed and smug.
“Tsk tsk tsk, indeed, Prince Fu’an is extraordinary.”
The red fox squatted beside Meng Loudi, stroked his chin, and looked at the three with a mocking gaze.
The peach tree demon rolled his eyes, “If it weren’t for you restraining Qing Hua, you’d be just like us now.”
Hu Linzhi stood up, shrugged, his smile enchanting, “No choice, only I can keep Qing Hua confined to the bed, right?”
Ajiao looked at her wounds, then at the exhausted Meng Loudi lying on the ground, her eyes still wary, “What should we do now? Has that person contacted you?”
The peach tree demon took out a palm-sized birdcage from his bosom, looking at the tiny crow inside, saying, “Don’t worry, everything is ready for what’s next, we just need to wait for tonight’s full moon, and everything will change.”
The little crow nestled in the cage, sleeping soundly.
Meng Loudi’s eyes turned, asking, “So, what exactly do you want to do?”
When Jiang woke up, unsurprisingly, he found himself in a room he had never seen before.
His head still hurt a bit, as he climbed out of bed, he saw a woman sitting by the window.
Jiang Chenyi’s ankle almost reflexively ached.
“Luo Yun.”
The woman looked at him, revealing a withered smile, “Awake, how do you feel?”
“Who let you out, and this time, what are you planning to do?” Jiang Chenyi held his head, feeling like countless flies were buzzing in his brain.
Luo Yun looked at the man whose face showed a pained expression, chuckled lightly, “Same as before, I want to see Luo Hui.”
Jiang’s teeth began to ache, he felt uncomfortable all over, “Luo Hui is with Liu Juncai.”
“I know, but even knowing that, I can’t see him, right?” Luo Yun looked outside, “So, I need help from others.”
