Chapter 9
After a hurried farewell at the airport, Ms. Zheng arranged another time to meet.
Not only that, she also transferred a large sum of money into my account.
“Yao, I know I’ve wronged you, consider this as compensation.”
“Ye is grown up now. If he really becomes a burden to you, just let him move out. Treat each other like ordinary siblings, helping each other when needed.”
The messages were deleted one by one by Jiang Ye.
As he deleted them, he sneered, “A burden? How can I be a burden when I’m so obedient?”
I suddenly spoke up, “You’re a burden to my dating life.”
I took over Jiang Ye when I was twenty-two, and the first six years were spent figuring out how to coexist with him.
After he became an adult, I went on countless blind dates, all of which he sabotaged completely.
Last night’s date was the one I had talked to the longest and felt the most connection with.
Although we hadn’t defined our relationship yet, we ended up booking a room, mostly due to my own selfishness-
I no longer wanted to be tied down by Jiang Ye.
“Heh.”
Jiang Ye got angry again.
He could never stand hearing me say things like that.
“Sis, you know saying that will make me angry, yet you still say it.”
“I need to punish you.”
He bit my lips until they were swollen and bruised, then lowered his head to continue biting.
I couldn’t push him away.
I had no choice but to close my eyes, “Jiang Ye, can’t we just have a normal sibling relationship?”
I wasn’t even hoping for him to treat me as his godmother.
Treating me with the respect of a real sis would be enough.
Jiang Ye’s mouth still found time to mock my wishful thinking:
“Have you ever seen a brother who wants to sleep with his own sis?”
I closed my eyes in despair.
Inside, I felt utterly desolate.
