Chapter 4
I did sleep, but I didn’t come up with any solutions.
Early in the morning, my mom came knocking at my door.
“Did you open the gift? Do you like it?”
I stood there, pale as a ghost, feeling utterly foolish.
“I opened it,” I lied, unsure of what my mom had given me, “I… like it. Let me sleep a little longer.”
With that, I slammed the door shut.
When I returned to my room, there was no one on the bed. Then I heard the sound of water from the bathroom.
Seeing the faint silhouette, my scalp tingled.
He’s awake. I’m doomed.
I paced nervously around the room, trying to figure out how to send him away discreetly without him holding me accountable.
The next moment, he came out. Naked.
I was blinded.
“You…” My first reaction was to fly to the door and lock it, “Why aren’t you wearing clothes?”
He leisurely walked to the bed, covered himself with the blanket, and stared at me absentmindedly, “No clothes.”
I was practically pulling my hair out.
“You came here naked yesterday?” I cried.
“Drank too much, vomited all over myself,” he calmly leaned against the headboard, fiddling with his phone.
It seemed he was waiting for me to come up with a solution.
I was going crazy.
“Wait here,” I quickly threw on some clothes, not bothering to wash my face or hair, and dashed out, cautioning him, “Don’t go out, lock the door, and don’t open it for anyone.”
“As you wish,” he looked at me amused, but at least he listened.
As soon as I stepped out, I ran into my mom, and I hurriedly blocked the door.
“Why is your face so red?” She held a tray of breakfast, urging me to eat.
“A bit hot,” I fanned myself desperately, bent down, and grabbed the trash to leave.
“Not eating breakfast? Where are you going?” My mom chased after me, asking.
“Taking out the trash,” I buried my head and sprinted away.
