Demonic King of the Metropolis - Chapter 90 - Luring the Tiger Away from Its Mountain
When a few people arrived at the Passion Bar, it was already getting dark. As soon as Tang Jie reached the entrance, he noticed that there were many luxury cars parked outside compared to during the day, and fashionable and sexy young men and women were entering the bar in pairs.
The security guard at the entrance was already on duty, and the bar had begun its normal evening operations. Tang Jie got out of the car first, followed by Wang Qianya and Chen Shuran, who were paying for the ride. As the three of them approached the entrance, Tang Jie heard the deafening bass booming from inside.
He couldn’t help but glance at the outfits Chen Shuran and Wang Qianya were wearing; both were dressed in elegant and pure-looking dresses today, not too revealing. He hoped they wouldn’t run into any trouble; he was quite exhausted today and really wanted to avoid any issues. He silently prayed that these young misses wouldn’t cause him any trouble as they entered the bar.
The three of them headed directly to the bar counter. Chen Shuran, still feeling the effects of her drunkenness from the afternoon, didn’t order any alcohol and only asked Wang Qianya for two fruit juices. Tang Jie ordered a bottle of beer, and then Chen Shuran and Wang Qianya started chatting like old friends, leaving Tang Jie to himself. He took the opportunity to observe the hot dancing couples on the dance floor.
“Brother, look! Isn’t that the girl from this afternoon? She’s back,” a bald man said from a dimly lit booth at the back of the dance floor, pointing at Chen Shuran as he spoke to another man in the booth. The man turned to look at Chen Shuran, his eyes immediately lighting up.
“I hadn’t even looked for her, and she comes right to me. Go, call the brothers over,” the speaker was Jiang Dong. He had been sitting in the bar all afternoon with Zhu Nan, who had just left. He was about to leave as well when he unexpectedly spotted Chen Shuran again. While the bald man went to get people, Jiang Dong watched as a few girls were called over, then grabbed one of the girls by her eye-catching chest before pulling out a wad of cash from a nearby bag. The girls gasped in excitement at the sight of the money.
“Go on! I’m feeling generous today. Take the money and get lost!” Jiang Dong said with indifference to the girls. Seeing the cash, the girls hurriedly moved to share it, paying no attention to what Jiang Dong had said.
Before long, the bald man returned, accompanied by several men dressed in black, clearly from the gang. One of them was quite tall, over 1.8 meters tall. They had just been in a private room getting high.
Jiang Dong gestured for them to sit down, his gaze fixed on Chen Shuran at the bar counter, not missing Wang Qianya next to her. It seemed like he was in for a lucky night, with two girls, haha! He couldn’t wait to have them both.
Jiang Dong’s henchmen followed his gaze and quickly spotted the two beauties sitting at the bar counter. They immediately understood their boss’s intentions, and a couple of them couldn’t help but drool, saying, “Boss…”
“Don’t worry. Once I’m done having my fun, the rest are yours!” Jiang Dong quickly grasped what his subordinates wanted. After saying this, his eyes landed on Tang Jie, who was watching the beauties next to him. To Jiang Dong, he just looked like a bodyguard, a young punk still wet behind the ears. Remembering what Zhu Nan had said that afternoon, a look of disdain crossed Jiang Dong’s face. However, as a seasoned figure in the underworld, he wasn’t one to act recklessly.
“Hey, you see that kid over there? You guys go over and find a way to lure him outside. Try to keep him occupied,” Jiang Dong gestured with his chin towards Tang Jie. His henchmen immediately understood what he meant. The tattooed bald man waved his hand, and a few men headed toward Tang Jie.
Tang Jie had almost finished his bottle of beer and had been observing the dance floor for a while, but he hadn’t seen any hotter beauties. While the women were indeed dressed sexy, they didn’t compare to the two sitting beside him. Losing interest, he turned his gaze back to Chen Shuran and Wang Qianya, who were still engrossed in their conversation.
He couldn’t understand how they had so much to talk about. It looked like they were trying to cover a lifetime’s worth of topics all at once, and he felt a bit neglected.
It seemed he had just come to play the role of a decoration, which was frustrating. He remembered how they had all been so warm toward him earlier, either asking about his likes or showing concern. Now, it felt like he was forgotten the moment they were together.
“Hey, brother, step outside for a moment.” Just as Tang Jie was lost in thought, someone called out to him. Turning around, he saw a bald man with an unfriendly face.
“I don’t know you; if you have something to say, say it here,” Tang Jie replied coolly, sensing a hint of provocation in the bald man’s eyes.
“Step outside; it’s not convenient to talk here. Are you scared?” The bald man was indeed provoking him, his tone dripping with disdain. Tang Jie glanced over at Chen Shuran and Wang Qianya, who had heard the bald man’s call and were both looking over with concern.
“Tang Jie, what’s going on?” Wang Qianya noticed the bald man’s unfriendly demeanor and asked, while Chen Shuran also kept an eye on him, wary of the group of men standing behind the bald man.
“It’s nothing. I just need to step outside for a moment. Qianya, take care of Shuran,” Tang Jie winked at Wang Qianya. She nodded. Though Tang Jie didn’t know who the bald man was, he was aware that in a crowded bar with poor lighting, he wanted to avoid any fighting inside.
Tang Jie walked towards the entrance of the bar with the bald man and a few others following closely behind. Chen Shuran looked at Wang Qianya and asked cautiously, “Should we go out and see if something happens?”
Wang Qianya thought for a moment, realizing that Chen Shuran had a point. If there was a master out there, Tang Jie might not be able to handle it alone, and she could help.
“Okay, you wait here for me. I’ll go take a look,” Chen Shuran said. She had initially wanted to go outside with Wang Qianya, but since Wang Qianya moved without suggesting it, she had no choice but to sit there and wait.
As soon as Wang Qianya stepped outside, a man approached, exclaiming, “Hey, beauty, let me buy you a drink! You’re absolutely stunning; I’ve never seen such a beautiful girl before.” Chen Shuran turned around to see a man with sparkling eyes and a sleazy grin, who had sat down right next to her with a drink in hand.
Seeing him made Chen Shuran feel disgusted. She wanted to tell him to get lost, but with Tang Jie and Wang Qianya both absent, she felt a bit frightened and simply turned away, ignoring him.
Jiang Dong, observing from a distance, secretly cursed under his breath. “They act all high and mighty, huh? Well, I like a wild horse like that!”
“I saw your friend leave, so I thought I’d come and keep you company. Aren’t you afraid of bad people when you’re out here alone?” Jiang Dong said, shamelessly trying to make conversation with Chen Shuran, while discreetly slipping his hand into his pants pocket to pull out a white pill.
“Sorry, I don’t know you. Please leave; my friend will be back soon,” Chen Shuran managed to say politely, suppressing her urge to tell him to get lost. She didn’t want to cause any trouble or bring any attention to Tang Jie. If Tang Jie were here, he would have taken care of this disgusting man without her even needing to say anything.
“Oh, look! Your friend is back!” Jiang Dong suddenly pointed towards the entrance. Startled, Chen Shuran turned her head, and in that instant, Jiang Dong seized the opportunity to drop the white pill into Chen Shuran’s drink.
“Alright, I can see that you’re not into older men, so I won’t bother you anymore. How about this: since it’s fate that we’ve met here, please do me the honor of having a drink with me, and then I’ll leave, okay?”
Jiang Dong suddenly adopted a very sincere demeanor. Chen Shuran, seeing his expression, just wanted him to leave quickly. Without thinking twice, she took a sip of her juice. As Jiang Dong watched her drink, a sly smile crept into his eyes. The Rohypnol he had secretly dropped into her glass was going to work its magic; even half a sip would mean that soon she’d need ten men just to quench her thirst.
“Why are you still here?” Chen Shuran couldn’t hold back the irritation in her voice when she saw Jiang Dong lingering. His gaze was fixed on her, and his smile resembled that of a wolf eyeing its prey. An ominous feeling crept into her heart. Before she could analyze the situation, a wave of dizziness hit her, followed quickly by a flush of warmth spreading through her body, making her feel intensely uncomfortable. The worst part was that when she tried to stand up, her body felt so weak and limp-it was like she had no strength at all.
As she realized Jiang Dong was leering at her and had reached out with one hand to grasp her, she found she couldn’t even summon the strength to call for help.
“Sweetheart, I’ll make sure you have a great time later! Hahaha!” Jiang Dong laughed as he pulled Chen Shuran away from the bar counter towards the stairs leading to the second floor, where the private rooms were located.
Meanwhile, Tang Jie, having been called outside by Jiang Dong’s men, noticed that the bald man was following Jiang Dong’s orders and didn’t immediately attack him. Instead, he hurled some crude remarks while dragging him along. Tang Jie was baffled; these guys didn’t seem like they were out for revenge or drunk, nor did they want to fight him. He was completely confused.
“So how about it, kid? If you cooperate with us, we’ll introduce you to the boss. You’ll be living the good life-plenty of food, drinks, and women. You can do whatever you want! The boss doesn’t just pay attention to anyone, so think it over,” the bald man said after his taunts. Tang Jie didn’t want to get entangled with them any further and attempted to head back to the bar, but the bald man blocked his path.
“Speak clearly, or you’re not going back,” the bald man scoffed.
“What do you want me to say? I’m not interested in your nonsense. If you don’t let me go back now, I won’t hold back any longer!” Tang Jie lost his patience, his eyes suddenly turning icy, a murderous glare appearing on his face.
