Chapter 10
This should count as one of Lin Manman’s provocations against me.
It was clear she was quite pleased with herself.
The smile on her face grew even deeper.
I looked at her and didn’t forget to remind her.
“Did you forget what I did that day? If you can’t remember, I don’t mind helping you experience it again.”
Lin Manman’s expression changed instantly.
I could tell she hadn’t forgotten.
That night, I stormed into the private room in a fit of rage.
I dragged Lin Manman off Zhou Jingcheng.
Before anyone could react, I slapped Lin Manman twice with force.
Then I grabbed her and pinned her down on the table where the drinks were placed.
“What’s so funny? Is it really funny? Do you know what happened to that homeless man afterward?”
Fueled by anger, I smashed a bottle.
Amid the sound of shattering glass, Lin Manman screamed loudly.
I held the sharp edge above her cheek.
Letting her tremble and shake in fear under my hand.
“Just like today, I crippled him.”
“Sister-in-law!”
“Shen Yue!”
Everyone in the room was too afraid to breathe.
In the end, it was Zhou Jingcheng who stopped me.
He suddenly pulled me aside.
Lin Manman shrank behind him, her face pale, looking weak and innocent.
“Ah Cheng, save me!”
Rage brewed in Zhou Jingcheng’s eyes, he raised his hand, ready to strike.
But he abruptly stopped when he met my crimson, hateful gaze.
“Ah Yue…”
“Zhou Jingcheng, are you afraid to hit me?”
I’m not.
In the moment Zhou Jingcheng hesitated.
I directly raised my hand and slapped him across the face.
I used almost all my strength.
Because after hitting him, my hand shook uncontrollably.
That was the beginning of my break with Zhou Jingcheng.
After that day, Zhou Jingcheng proposed a divorce.
And he moved out of the home we once shared, to live with Lin Manman.
