Chapter 1
The sound of a baby crying pulled my thoughts back to reality.
I looked forward, dazed. I was in a small room. A large red “Double Happiness” character was pasted on the wall, and next to it hung a wedding photo printed with a line of text:
“Wishing Shen Jincheng and Xu Chunyan a long life together and an eternal union of hearts.”
Behind the door hung an old traditional calendar. The page it was turned to read: August 21, 1988.
Just then, the door was pushed open from the outside.
Shen Jincheng walked in, carrying a fish in his hand.
He looked to be only in his twenties, with a refined temperament, handsome and tall.
“I could hear the baby crying all the way from outside. What’s going on?”
Shen Jincheng walked over quickly, frowning at me. “What are you staring for? Hurry up and make some formula for Yuqing.”
