Jiang Qin was going on a business trip to Jing City.

He asked me if I wanted to go.

“No…”

Niannian, with her keen ears, hurried over: “Jing City? Uncle, I want to go to Universal Studios!”

Jiang Qin glanced at me and smiled: “Not going?”

I choked up and fell silent.

That day, I didn’t give Jiang Qin an answer.

To pull myself out of one way of life again, I needed to think it over carefully.

Niannian was only five, yet instead of being obsessed with Transformers, she was obsessed with Harry Potter.

Universal Studios was crowded, and Jiang Qin didn’t want to hire a guide, so he only brought Assistant Liu along.

He tilted his head and asked me, “Niannian likes Harry Potter. What do you like?”

“I like… Transformers.”

“A girl who likes Transformers?”

“Gender discrimination?”

“No, just a bit surprised.”

I didn’t tell him that the first time I ever went to a movie theater, I watched Transformers.

I couldn’t describe the shock I felt then. The 3D glasses were crude and clumsy compared to now, but I had never seen anything like it before, and everything in the world seemed so wondrous and amazing.

We wandered over to the Decepticon.

Niannian’s eyes were full of longing.

Jiang Qin squatted down and hugged Niannian: “Kids can’t ride this.”

“Ah…” Niannian sounded disappointed.

I didn’t dare ride it either. Ever since I had Niannian, I’d become very cautious about my own safety. The thrill rides I used to love-I probably wouldn’t dare try any of them now.

But Jiang Qin was watching, and my competitiveness flared up for no reason: “Let’s go.”

I was launched into the air.

Those were the longest three minutes of my life; my brain felt like it was being shaken to mush.

When I got off, my face was pale.

Jiang Qin looked at me clutching his hand tightly and couldn’t help but laugh: “Holding on so tight? Anyone who didn’t know would think you couldn’t live without me.”

I hadn’t recovered yet when he suddenly kissed me.

“You…”

Jiang Qin squinted, satisfied: “You looked so pitiful, I had to comfort you.”

Assistant Liu and Niannian, one big and one small, stared at us in shock.

My face instantly turned red.

Niannian dragged out her words: “You two are too much! So embarrassing!”

Jiang Qin let out a low laugh.
