Summary
It was my tenth year as the companion to Lu Zhaoyan, the young master with autism, when his wife brought in a lively girl named Lin Chan to replace me, telling me to teach her all the rules and then leave.
I had always believed Lu Zhaoyan never felt a thing for me—yet after I left, I watched him blush again and again at Lin Chan’s teasing, speaking up and showing emotion for the first time. So he was never the cold, iron tree everyone thought; he simply never bloomed for me.
Back in my hometown, I met Lin Qingchen, the gentle and dependable neighbor who is a teacher. As I slowly learned to let go and to be loved again, I finally saw the belated, clumsy feelings Lu Zhaoyan had kept hidden all along.
