Summary
Qi Sinian had one rule when it came to his affairs: his mistresses had to know their place.
If any of them dared to show their faces in front of his wife, they would be dealt with by the next day.
Yet, those women never seemed to tire of the game.
It was all because I, Madam Qi, was far too weak and easily intimidated.
Years ago, in order to marry Qi Sinian, I had signed a prenuptial agreement.
If we ever divorced, I would leave with nothing to my name.
Later, to keep my child, I agreed to send them to the family estate, where I was only allowed one visit a month.
I had no power, no influence, no family, and no friends. Aside from beauty treatments and flower arranging, I was useless.
That was until another one of Qi Sinian’s mistresses came to flaunt her status in my face.
“President Qi is so wicked. He made me kneel all night; my knees are still swollen even now.”
I smiled and set down my shears, leading her toward a storage room to fetch something.
Then, while her guard was down, I shoved her inside.
“Since you’ve worked so hard, you should rest for a few days. Don’t bother seeing anyone for a while.”
