Waterbound Love - Chapter 70
Having once been hurt, tasted sweetness, shed tears, and felt joy;
Those things once hard to let go, firmly believed in, and persistently pursued.
Time flows, years cleanse, just like the faded purple tassels covered in dust at the door.
Even if colored, the aged heart remains dull;
Even if purified, the dust that can’t be brushed away lingers.
In truth, nothing is there,
In truth, nothing ever was.
Time is the cruelest, like a tightly closed shell encasing us, polishing us to a brilliant glow while deeply burying our own hearts. Even if we shine, I will tell myself I am no longer young.
Yet, even so, there still remains hope, unyielding like bamboo shoots after rain.
With hope comes disappointment, and after disappointment, there’s an irresistible hope, cycling endlessly.
We are all experiencing similar pains, because hope always leaves us with nowhere to hide.
I swear, I will strive to smile, to smile often. Even if the smile is somewhat forced, somewhat bittersweet.
Though the heart cannot stop its sorrowful tears, smiles can indeed fill the sky.
