The Little Alpaca - Chapter 1
Chapter 1
”Luo Mingyuan…”
”I curse you to fall down the path of evil and to never be able to return.”
”I curse you so that no matter how much you have, you will never feel at peace.”
”I curse you so that after I’m gone, no one will be trustworthy or loveable…”
”Luo Mingyuan…”
”You must… Continue living…”
”I’m willing to give up my eternal reincarnation and turn into a vengeful spirit just to watch you suffer alone and helplessly for thousands of years!”
How deep is love, how heavy is hatred?
Jiang Yuyao will never forgive Luo Mingyuan. Having lost everything, she would rather give up eternal reincarnation to take revenge on the man she had given everything to and loved for half her life.
Because, in the face of hatred, everything else is insignificant.
What if it was possible for her to carve her name into his soul, and whenever he touched it, he would feel as if he was being devoured by thousands of insects, slowly destroying his immortal fate and roots and ruining his chance at eternal reincarnation? What would that mean?
There is no forgiveness between her and Luo Mingyuan.
Only hatred until death.
”Chaoyun, Yuyao is right… I don’t deserve anything, and I have indeed lost everything.”
”Since she passed away, I really have no one to trust, no one to love… Every minute and every second I stay in this world is just unsettling.”
”Even my three souls and seven spirits have been dispersed by her…”
”I’m not asking for forgiveness, I just want you to ask her for me, can this punishment be exchanged for her… Forgiving herself?”
The freezing rain tried to moisten the land corroded by venom, but the fresh bloodshed was one step too late.
The blood and rain mixed into the mud, and the giant red bird with a broken leg slowly lost its remaining warmth.
His huge body had been corroded by poison, and the wounds that were bleeding black blood emitted such a foul stench of sin and hatred, even heavy rain could not wash it away.
He was tired to the point that it could barely move. He was even unable to close his eyes until it finally died.
”The Golden Crow is dead, from here on out, Fusang will cease to exist.” [T/N: Fusang means Hibiscus]
The fallen angel who had turned her back on heaven stood quietly beside it, her feathers dim and her cuffs stained.
Her eyes were empty, as if she had lost all of her faith.
”Jumang… no longer has anyone left to protect.”
As she finished speaking, she raised her eyes and looked at the giant Qinyuan bird with gorgeous wings and a sharp tail, shaped like a poisonous bee.
Throughout the entire Qinyuan clan, this bird was the most beautiful.
However, the more dangerous something is, the more people can’t bear to look away.
For a moment, despite everything else, the fallen angel really wanted to die with him.
But the flash of pity in the Qinyuan’s eyes finally broke her heart and courage. Resentment and pain was completely replaced by confusion.
On that incredibly beautiful face, something was sliding down from the corners of his eyes, but it was hard to tell whether it from tears or rain.
”Youyan… Three thousand years ago… I shouldn’t have saved you.”
The giant Qinyuan bird then passed, leaving only a gloomy low laugh with a bit of sarcasm, lingering in the heart like smoke and fog.
(The End)
The book is finished? The book is finished!
”This rubbish author’s rubbish novel is really outrageous. There’re so many plot holes that have yet to been filled, and the ending is so unacceptable!”
At this moment, the girl who was sitting on the bed holding her cell phone and cursing with gritted teeth was named Yi Qiu.
As a low-paid clerk working from nine to five, her life is just fooling around day after day, and her interests and hobbies are almost nonexistent. Besides novels and music, she does just about nothing else.
Three months ago, she got into the Transformation of Green River’s [TN: Website for the Webnovel] famous sweet comedy: “Little Bird Cooing as they Fly” [TN: Author’s pen name] – “Withered Branches”.
They said that this was their first attempt at an original worldview, and that they had consulted countless materials and made sufficient preparations in advance, intending to write a novel of a large scale with ups and downs that would eventually become deeply rooted in people’s hearts.
All of a sudden, many old new readers of the genre flocked to read it.
However, as they read, many people eventually realized that something wasn’t right.
Isn’t this just an old-fashioned, bloody and abusive story disguised as some grand story?
About this one comment, the author actually once had a conversation with readers who questioned him.
She said: NONONO, you can’t just look at the surface.
I’ve laid a lot foreshadowings for the big plot explosion later. Those who say that torture is done for the sake of torture, do you understand the characters? This character has this personality. He would only react in this way in this situation. If he had any other choice, his character would be ruined.
As for the unreasonable plot, you can point out all the unreasonable places now, and I will give you an explanation later. I guarantee the ending will be perfect, but I just can’t spoil it. If you really can’t bear to read it, don’t embarrass yourself and stop reading.
Just because the author had written the previous part pretty well, and because the foreshadowing in the text, (that was discovered by readers after heavily scrutinizing the text under a microscope – it had seemed insignificant at first glance, but was mysterious and terrifying when they thought about it carefully) Yi Qiu had gritted her teeth and swallowed her strife the entire novel until she finally saw this abrupt ending, at which point she choked and almost suffocated in anger.
In the novel, the hero is a three-legged golden crow, the son of the Emperor of Heaven. He lived in the sacred Fusang tree for more than four thousand years. Due to his stubbornness, he created ten suns in the sky, almost turning the world into a scorched earth.
Houyi shot down nine suns, rushed to Fusang with a bow, cut off one of the Golden Crow’s feet, and was about to kill it, but was stopped by the Emperor of Heaven.
In order to give an explanation to the human world, the Emperor of Heaven banished the Golden Crow to the mortal world to experience tribulations for ten lifetimes, and promised that during his tribulations, heaven would never interfere in the slightest. If he could not achieve a positive result in ten lifetimes, then he would no longer protect his rebellious son.
The life span of mortals is short, and nine lives of the Golden Crow passed by in a flash, without any of them achieving the right result, as if they were all just a fleeting moment.
His tenth life was his last chance. It was then that Fusang returned to the Golden Crow and volunteered to go through reincarnation with him. All the stories began from this last life.
Fusang came to the human world and was reborn into the Xianlu Sect, the leader of the four major sects in the world of immortal cultivation, and became Jiang Yuyao, the only daughter of the sect leader Jiang Jue.
Jiang Yuyao is extremely talented, beautiful, aloof and cold. Men admire her and women envy her. She is known as the unattainable flower in Xianlu Sect.
Such a heroine, by the arrangement of fate, met the half-demon Luo Mingyuan, who was taken in by her father into the Xianlu Gate out of pity for him. He is also the hero of this article, the son of the Emperor of Heaven, the three-legged golden crow.
Luo Mingyuan was abandoned by his parents at birth and lived with his adoptive parents. However, he had a special physique and was easily attracted to evil things. His adoptive parents treated him as their own son. In order for him to grow up safely, they searched for immortals everywhere and took great pains to finally send him to the Xianlu Gate.
He was very young, with no evil intentions in his heart, but his half-demon body limited him from practicing magic. Others saw him as a waste, and he was often ridiculed and excluded by his fellow disciples. He gradually became inferior, and only his senior sister, who knew of his story took care of him.
On the way down the mountain for training, the male protagonist’s adoptive parents were planted with demonic seeds by the villain, forcing the female protagonist had to kill them with her own hands. Unexpectedly, however, she was caught in the act by the male protagonist.
The heroine was worried that the hero would lose his life to an impulsive revenge, so she chose not to explain. Instead, she used cold words, causing the hero to misunderstand her, thus being charged with the crime of “indiscriminate killing of innocent people” and expelled from the sect by her father.
The hero, wanting revenge, even chased the heroine out of the sect. The heroine, knowing that it was too dangerous outside, used provocation to keep him by her side, so that she could personally protect him because she couldn’t persuade the hero to return back to Xianlu Gate.
When he was in danger, she protected him; when he was injured, she took care of him. Over time, the hero found himself falling in love, struggling repeatedly between hatred and the pain of heartache.
Then, a villainess who came to the human world pretending to be a fair lady appeared. She seduced and tricked the male protagonist into practicing evil magic and used her magic to influence his character, frantically trying to sow discord between them.
Because of this, the male protagonist’s misunderstanding of the female protagonist became deeper and deeper. Under the mixture of love and hate, he gradually embarked on the path of evil prepared for him by the female villain.
The heroine couldn’t bear to see the hero go astray, so in order to bring him back to the right path, she decided to explain the misunderstanding. However, the hero had already been brainwashed by the villainess and turned evil. He hated the world and didn’t listen to or believe what the heroine said. He even pretended to be together with the villainess in order to provoke the heroine.
Later, Xianlu’s family was wiped out because of the hero, and all the people the heroine cared about died tragically one after another.
After a long and illogical period of abuse, the heroine eventually lost everything, her body was crippled, and her cultivation was destroyed. When she was completely desperate, many misunderstandings were finally resolved through the mouths of others.
However, it was too late. The hero chased the heroine to the crematorium, but the heroine would rather die than forgive him.
And just like that, the part that the readers were anticipating most had finally arrived!
However, who would’ve known that the author simply killed the heroine just a few chapters into the story.
Up to this moment, the masochists in the comments section still firmly believe that the heroine could be resurrected, and that the author wrote it this way in order to better torture the hero.
As a result, something even more unexpected happened.
The heroine was genuinely dead. However, after her death, she did not return to her immortal position, but gave up reincarnation and became a ground-bound spirit whose obsession could not be dispelled. Carrying a curse on the hero, she repeatedly experienced the scenes of being hurt and betrayed by the hero day after day, torturing herself in order to hurt the hero.
The hero was filled with remorse and his original heart was lost. His evil heart broke through the seal of reincarnation, causing him to recall the days and nights he had spent with Fusang in the blue sea. He was unable to bear the pain and went on a killing spree to ease his grief.
Next, in an attempt to whitewash the scumbag, the author began to use a large number of flashbacks to describe the hero’s regret and deep affection. The hero was then forced to drag the second female lead into walking the path of evil alongside himself only to then become the enemy of the Emperor of Heaven, trying to seek supreme power to save the heroine.
Upon seeing this, the Emperor of Heaven no longer cared about their kinship and cruelly ordered him to be hunted down and killed.
The male protagonist, who was half god and demon, fought with the heavens for three hundred rounds. When both sides were badly weakened, the villainess, who had been causing trouble before, reappeared and reaped the benefits.
The villainess completely disrupted the three realms, revived the demons, and killed the son of heaven, becoming the biggest winner of the whole story. All the efforts of the protagonist and supporting characters were instantly wasted, and the foreshadowing that was repeatedly discussed by attentive readers became a complete joke.
In response to this, Yi Qiu was so angry that she instantly jumped to the comments section, tapping the screen frantically trying to type up a bad review.
Can the brain really be disassembled at will? – Little Overlord [T/N: Yi Qiu’s Screen Name] (Full Order: Chapter 213) [T/N: How far she’s read] -2 Points.
I am really impressed by this novel. I got hooked on it halfway through and read a chapter a day.
The writing’s better in the early stage; however, it gets a lot worse in the middle and late stages. If you read it before going to bed, it’ll kill you in your dreams, if you read it first thing in the morning, it’ll make you angry all day.
Author, are you the legendary breathing manure-making machine? Is this ending serious? I must’ve been crazy to leave you comments and pointers every day amidst all the criticism. I used to firmly believe that you could make the plot work out!
The world view was so big, and were so many foreshadowings with plot holes are dug one after another. But in the end, they couldn’t be filled, so you were willing to just be perfunctory and simply wrote the protagonist to death?
After reading for so many years, this is the first time I feel so frustrated with a novel!
I need to thoroughly wash my brain after that one! Stupid author, permanently blocked! This is complete rubbish, and anyone who reads it is an idiot!
It’s not that she was ever serious about the novel, this trashy story was obviously written for the sake of torture. It had so many foreshadowings that could’ve been used. If the author had carefully copied the “homework” [T/N: Predictions] of the readers in the comment section, she could’ve written an ending that is a hundred times better than the current one. But the author actually… Actually…
It ended so irresponsibly!
Three months. She had trusted this author who had a decent reputation, only to be fed a mouthful of hot shit!
Perhaps it was because she loved the author so deeply that she hated her so much. After giving the negative rating, Yi Qiu repeatedly refreshed the page in the noisy comment section. Like many readers who were hurt by authors who wrote bad endings, she tortured herself for nearly two hours. The more she thought about it, the angrier she got. Finally, when she was drinking hot water, she couldn’t catch her breath. She squatted by the toilet, pinched her throat, and choked to death on the spot.
This piece of junk really makes anyone who even glances at it look like an idiot, right?
A second before she lost consciousness, Yi Qiu thought that she was probably the world’s greatest idiot – the first idiot to ever be angered to death by a novel.
What a rubbish novel, what a waste of life. Give me the pen, I can write a hundred times better than that stupid author!
[Ding-]
In the darkness, a strange sound rang in her ears.
[Ding!]
Did someone realize I was choking?
[Ding-]
What are you talking about? If you don’t call an ambulance, I’m going to die!
[The system has been securely bound to the host.]
[Successfully received host’s request: “Give me the pen, I can write a hundred times better than that stupid author!”]
[The goal of this mission is to change the world line of “Withered Branches” so that the plot will reasonably lead to a happy ending! ]
