Gu Xiaoai lay motionless on the bed, her vacant eyes staring at the ornate Western-style chandelier on the ceiling. The sticky discomfort between her legs was heavier than ever before, so unbearable it made her want to escape her own body.
Li Juefeng’s overpowering presence enveloped her entirely, suffocating her with its intensity.
His deep-set eyes fixed on her expressionless face, he abruptly stood and strode toward the bathroom. Behind him, the faint clinking of the chain echoed in the room.
“I need a bath,” Gu Xiaoai said flatly, her voice devoid of emotion.
She needed to wash. To scrub away every trace he had left on her body, erase every mark until there was nothing left.
Li Juefeng turned his gaze back to her, leaning down with both hands braced against the edge of the bed. His thin lips curved into a faint, provocative smile as his eyes roved over her body with undisguised boldness. “Two options: I’ll help you bathe, or housekeeper Tong will.”
He knew his own strength all too well, and he knew she didn’t have the energy to bathe herself.
This girl, usually so pragmatic, had refused to yield this time no matter how much he tormented her. She was stubborn to the core. Was it because of the handcuffs?
“Shameless!” Gu Xiaoai spat, her voice dripping with hatred as she glared at his face.
Li Juefeng’s expression darkened instantly.
Gu Xiaoai struggled to prop herself up on the bed, her movements slow and labored as she tried to climb down.
Her bare skin glowed under the light, taking on a different hue. Her legs trembled weakly as they touched the cold floor.
Just as she attempted to stand, she realized her strength had been completely drained by Li Juefeng’s relentless assault.
Her knees buckled, and she collapsed.
She didn’t fall flat to the ground, though. The chain and handcuffs tugged at her delicate wrists, pulling her body in another direction.
The sudden pull caused her to spin slightly, dizziness clouding her vision. Her mind went blank, and before she could process anything, she fainted, her body crumpling heavily to the floor.
“Thud-”
The dull sound of her fall echoed in the room.
Across the expansive bed, her fragile figure lay collapsed on the other side, right in front of Li Juefeng’s eyes.
It wasn’t the first time she had fainted in his presence, but the sight of her frail body hitting the ground struck him in a way he hadn’t anticipated.
In that instant, it felt as though a sharp blade had sliced through his chest, carving out a deep, gaping wound.
A sensation he had never experienced before-pain that came so suddenly, so fiercely, it was terrifying.
