Teasing the Icy President - Chapter 28 - Mouse! Mouse!
Standing on the vast land, surrounded by villas of all sizes as far as the eye could see, Mu Qingtian wore a wide-brimmed floral hat and held a black plastic bag in her hand, playing the role of a mouse-catching expert in the most unprofessional manner. “That damn guy did it on purpose,” she muttered. “How could there be mice in an area full of villas for miles around? He knows I’m the one who eats, yet he tells me to catch mice?”
Picking her teeth, Mu Qingtian had just devoured all the leftover barbecue while Ye Ziqian wasn’t around. “Burp~” She let out a satisfied belch and patted her round belly. “Even if I don’t catch any mice today, at least I had a feast. Hmph, mouse! Mouse! It’s either you or me! Let’s do this!”
Little Junze followed behind her, bouncing with joy. He spotted a butterfly and quietly trailed it into the grass. With a sudden leap, he ended up face-first in the dirt. Mu Qingtian picked him up. “What are you doing? Go play somewhere else and don’t disturb Auntie while she’s looking for mice!” She set him aside. “A four-year-old kid, huh, all of them are here to bully me.”
Mu Qingtian glanced at the sun. Fortunately, it was just past nine, and the sun wasn’t too harsh. Having never caught a mouse before, she was at a loss. “How do you catch a mouse?” she suddenly realized the gravity of the situation, feeling like she was facing a formidable enemy.
A little squirrel holding a nut appeared under a tree not far away. Sharp-eyed little Junze saw it and wobbled over. The squirrel, seemingly accustomed to people, chirped at him a few times before climbing the tree. Little Junze looked up at it, and it stared back with its cunning little eyes. Then, with a sudden leap, it pounced on little Junze, and the two tumbled together.
“Giggle~~” Little Junze and the squirrel played happily. Meanwhile, Mu Qingtian was still bent over, searching through the grass. “Damn it, mouse, don’t you even have a nest? Living out in the open?”
Mu Qingtian suddenly thought of a clever idea: go to a remote market and buy two mouse skins, then come back and boast that she bravely killed the mice and even made mouse skins as a gift. She thought it was a brilliant idea. “Forget it, I’ll go find something good to eat first!”
After a fruitless morning, Mu Qingtian dusted herself off and shouted at little Junze in the distance, “Hey, you-come here right now!” Little Junze, holding the squirrel, glanced at her, then continued playing with the squirrel, ignoring her.
Seeing this, Mu Qingtian felt exasperated. “Rebellion, rebellion, everyone is bullying me. Can’t handle the big ones, can’t even handle the little ones?” She marched over, grabbed his clothes, and dragged him home, grumbling, “I warn you, don’t cause trouble. If we get fired, I won’t be able to take care of you!”
With her plan set, she drank two large bottles of water at home, then took the little tail along and boarded the bus to her destination. Suddenly, her phone rang loudly, startling Mu Qingtian. She fumbled through her bag. “Could it be that uncle again?” Sure enough, it was. Cold sweat broke out.
“No way, he knows even when I go out?” Mu Qingtian hesitated to answer, but finally did so under the impatient stares of other passengers. “Where the hell are you?” a sharp voice immediately pierced her ears.
“Uh, catching mice…” she stammered, a flimsy excuse full of holes.
“What? Catching mice on the bus?” Ye Ziqian had already heard the noisy bus in the background. Mu Qingtian stuttered, “Uh… uh…” unable to come up with an excuse, sweat beading on her forehead. What to do? What to do? She kept asking herself.
In her panic, she accidentally hung up the phone. “Oh no, I’m in trouble again. I hung up on him… Will he kill me?” Mu Qingtian looked distressed. At this moment, little Junze suddenly said, “No battery,” pointing to the back of her phone.
“No battery?” Mu Qingtian looked at her phone, then quickly removed the battery. “Yes, my phone ran out of battery, so the call got cut off. It wasn’t me!” She smiled, patted little Junze’s head, “Hey, you’re so smart.”
Little Junze sucked his finger and looked out the window.
“Mr. An, we’ve found the young master,” a voice said on the other end of the line. The man stood by the floor-to-ceiling window, bathed in sunlight, looking out. “Where is that kid?”
“Uh, he’s on a bus with a chubby woman.” In a corner of the bus, a man in a neat suit and dark sunglasses was watching little Junze while speaking softly into his phone.
“Then what are you waiting for? Bring him back. That little rascal always runs off.” The man gritted his teeth. His son never gave him peace of mind.
“Yes, sir. I’ll bring him back right away.” The man on the bus replied crisply. “Good, if you don’t, you can bring your head to me.” The man tossed the phone aside. His interest wasn’t in his son but in the door behind him.
Nie Shuangshuang woke up groggily, the room filled with a sweet perfume scent. She struggled to sit up. “This isn’t my home, and this isn’t my perfume,” she thought, rubbing her eyes. Where was she?
Looking around carefully, Nie Shuangshuang confirmed it wasn’t her room and screamed, “Ah… my clothes, my phone?” She looked down. Thankfully, her clothes were still on, and her phone was in her pocket.
“Should I call the police?” She imagined telling the police, “Uncle, I’m lost?” Shaking her head, she hesitated. The door creaked open.
Nie Shuangshuang looked up and met a pair of deep eyes. “You! Why are you here? Thief!” She clutched her blanket, feeling unsafe despite being fully dressed.
The man glanced at her disdainfully and walked over. “Don’t come any closer!” Nie Shuangshuang pointed at him, nervous. She grabbed a pillow and threw it at him.
The pillow hit his shoulder and burst open, feathers flying everywhere. Nie Shuangshuang watched in shock, then couldn’t help but laugh at the sight of him covered in feathers.
An Shaochen stood there, looking at the silly woman laughing like a peach blossom. His expression softened. “Is it that funny?”
He shook his head, dislodging some feathers, but a few remained in his hair.
Nie Shuangshuang stared at him, forgetting to smile. His beautiful eyes had a light that could intimidate her but also a strong attraction that made her forget everything, even her fear.
“Am I that ugly?” He looked at her, slightly surprised but confident in his charm. He reached out to touch her chin.
She wanted to resist but found her body unresponsive. She couldn’t move or speak. “No…” she thought as his hand touched her face, snapping her back to reality.
He smiled wickedly, surprised by her strong reaction. Her resistance only piqued his interest.
For An Shaochen, teasing an innocent girl was a first. He usually dealt with experienced women. This one felt new and intriguing.
Nie Shuangshuang was angry but scared. “Don’t touch me, you bad man. You’ll get your comeuppance!” she said, her voice trembling.
An Shaochen looked at her, surprised by her spirit. She wasn’t as weak as she seemed. He was intrigued.
He leaned closer, his voice cold but seductive. “I told you, you’re mine. No one can change that.”
Nie Shuangshuang’s eyes widened in fear. She swallowed hard, her breathing heavy. The room was silent except for their breaths. He was so close, she felt suffocated.
What to do? What to do? She asked herself, fear spreading. She felt powerless.
An Shaochen smiled, enjoying her fear. He kissed her, but she kept her lips tightly shut. He grew impatient and pinned her down, making it easier to control her.
She was trapped under him, staring at him in terror. “No, get off me, you bad man!” she cried, trying to get up, but he held her down.
“Had enough?” He leaned closer, smiling. She was completely at his mercy. “I hate you, get off me.”
“Whether you hate or like it, some things are beyond your control. Today, I’ll teach you a lesson. You’re destined to be my woman.”
As the pain hit, Nie Shuangshuang’s nails dug into An Shaochen’s back.
“Ah…” Tears of pain fell from her eyes. She had never felt such pain.
The man frowned, stopping his movements, and held her gently. “I won’t hurt you.” She trembled in pain, unable to speak, clinging to him for safety.
Nie Shuangshuang’s life was turned upside down. She felt like a ship without a rudder, drifting into unknown waters, facing unknown storms…
