Supreme Rogue Play in Another World - Chapter 50 - Troubles Everywhere
Blame it on Zhou Jiang and his son for being so meddlesome!
It all started when Run Tiancheng opened the package given to him by Zhou Jiang and his son on the train. Inside, he found an arrest warrant, a bank card, a key, and a letter that read, “Tiancheng, although you wish to live a quiet life alone, we thought it over and decided it’s best to find something for you to do to help you quickly get over the longing and pain. With this arrest warrant, you can request any police department to assist you in capturing the criminal. However, we still need you to take a trip to Huagang City, where you’ll discover some unexpected things related to Ge Long. The bank card has one million, enough for your daily expenses. We’ve coordinated with the Huagang City police and arranged your school transfer; your residence is also ready. It’s under your name, and the key is in this package. Take care!”
After reading the letter, Run Tiancheng felt somewhat frantic, even considering pulverizing these items. However, the mention of having a deep connection with Ge Long intrigued him. If these bad people were left unchecked, who knows how many more innocents, like Ouyang Jing, would become victims? Thinking of this, Run Tiancheng constantly cursed Zhou Jiang and his son in his heart while grudgingly heading to the barren Huagang City.
Early the next morning, when Run Tiancheng arrived in class, he found his desk and chair broken. The three boys who tried to extort him the day before were smirking at him.
Run Tiancheng said nothing and left the classroom, soon returning with a chair which he placed in his spot. He then tossed the damaged desk and chair out the window and sat down comfortably. This chair was unlike the others; it had a genuine leather cover.
“The p-president’s chair?” a girl who had just entered the classroom was startled to see Run Tiancheng sitting on it.
“That’s right, my chair was too broken to sit on, so I had to borrow one from the president’s office. Can’t stand through class, can I?” Run Tiancheng’s response seemed quite reasonable.
The three boys gritted their teeth. They hadn’t expected this freshman to be so brazen and bold. The school president was notorious for being a tough character. This punk dared to take his chair? Let’s see how he deals with you!
Sure enough, it wasn’t long before an old man with glasses and a bald head walked into the classroom. It was obvious that a few veins on his forehead were bulging: “Who is it? Who took my chair? I heard someone from your class took it. Who’s bold enough to do that?” His voice was loud, and the room immediately fell silent.
“It was me who took it. No need to be so angry, right? My chair was broken by someone, so I borrowed yours. By the way, my desk is broken too. Could you bring me another one? Yours looks pretty comfortable!” Run Tiancheng calmly said to the president.
The three troublemakers were overjoyed. They had never seen anyone dare to speak to the president like that and thought they were in for a show, already imagining various bleak outcomes for Run Tiancheng.
“Hmm? You took it? You’ve got guts!” The president adjusted his glasses and walked towards Run Tiancheng, but as he reached him, he seemed to see who he was talking to more clearly, and his expression froze. The anger vanished, replaced by a different demeanor, and his voice softened: “Oh, it’s Young Master Run! I thought it was some student causing trouble. Your chair is broken? Well… there isn’t a spare at the moment, so just use mine for now. As for the desk, if you really like mine, I’ll have someone bring it over for you.”
The entire class was floored-literally. Was this servile expression from the infamous “tiger” president they all knew?
The three troublemakers nearly spat blood. Strange things happen every year, but this year was particularly unusual!
“No need, really. I don’t mind not having a desk. Once you get me a chair as comfy as yours, I’ll return this one to you!” Run Tiancheng waved dismissively.
“No need to return it, no need. I’ll just get another one. This one’s for you to use, haha. Well, if there’s nothing else, I’ll be going now!” The president backed out of the classroom, a smile plastered on his face.
Run Tiancheng is no ordinary individual. The president’s laughter was genuinely heartfelt. It was said that a wealthy man named Zhou Jiang had specifically instructed to treat Run Tiancheng with utmost reverence, as making him unhappy could lead to severe consequences. Moreover, Zhou Jiang donated a million yuan to the school, which was struggling with financial crises and unable to pay salaries. With this donation, the school immediately revived. Zhou Jiang also mentioned that as long as Run Tiancheng was happy at the school, no amount of money was too much!
For the president, Run Tiancheng was like a golden ingot fallen from heaven. He was so grateful that he wished he could build a shrine for Run Tiancheng and worship him daily, as long as he didn’t blow up the school, he could do whatever made him happy.
The students began to speculate about the relationship between Run Tiancheng and the president. Some said the president must owe the Run Family money, otherwise why would he act so subservient? Others suggested the president was caught by Run Tiancheng in a compromising situation with underage girls, holding leverage over him. There were even whispers that perhaps the president was Run Tiancheng’s adoptive son…
Run Tiancheng, however, enjoyed the peace and didn’t mind the rumors. After all, he wasn’t at the school with a genuine desire to study; he was just there until he resolved an issue involving Zhou Cang and his son, after which he could leave at any time.
The three troublemakers were more convinced than ever that Run Tiancheng came from a prestigious family, especially after the incident the previous afternoon, and they were ready to start their revenge.
After school one afternoon, as Run Tiancheng walked out of a restaurant patting his stomach, a sack was suddenly thrown over his head. Several hands grabbed him and dragged him to another location.
Run Tiancheng did not resist nor scream; he simply cooperated with whoever it was until he felt a hit on his shoulder, which almost made him laugh.
A stick broke in two on his shoulder. Through a gap beneath the sack, he saw three pairs of familiar sneakers and said, “Ji Nan, Da Li, Dong Zi, if you three really want to hit me, you should try something more effective, like an iron pipe or a hammer. Do you really think you can teach me a lesson with a mere stick? Are we playing a children’s game here?”
The three boys were stunned. They removed the sack from Run Tiancheng’s head. “How did you recognize us? The stick even broke, and… you’re not in pain?”
Run Tiancheng, chuckling, patted the dust off his shoulder. “I can’t tell if you guys are foolish or think I am, but that stick definitely wasn’t strong enough. Let me show you how to really throw a punch!” He shook his fists, flashing a mischievous smile…
