Supreme Rogue Play in Another World - Chapter 44 - Special Kind of Human
Run Tiancheng entered the Heavenly Dream Karaoke Bar and was immediately approached by a waiter who hurriedly asked, “Sir, how many are in your party? Do you have a reservation?”
“I’m here to see someone!” Run Tiancheng glanced at the waiter. “Where are Sun Hai and Ge Long?”
“Oh, you’re here for Mr. Ge and Mr. Sun! They’re in a meeting on the third floor, and they’ve instructed that no matter who it is, they should not be disturbed!” The waiter said nervously, and it was apparent that these two were accustomed to intimidating the staff, making them turn pale at the mere mention of their names.
“The third floor, you say? Thank you!” Run Tiancheng didn’t want to trouble these hard-working kids, and casually pulled out the last two red bills from his wallet to tip the waiter, then headed for the stairs.
“Sir… you really shouldn’t go up there. If the managers find out, we’ll be in trouble!” A few more waiters called out anxiously.
“It’s okay, they won’t blame you. Just say I forced my way up!” Run Tiancheng gave them a reassuring smile, lightly exerted pressure on the jade-stone railing, which immediately crumbled into powder.
“Ah!” All the staff gasped quietly, showing their well-trained nature by keeping their exclamations as low as possible.
“Sir, there’s an elevator!” a waiter whispered.
“No thanks, the stairs are safer! Thank you!” Run Tiancheng continued to the second floor.
“Wow… he’s so handsome and charming!” Hearts appeared in the eyes of all the waitstaff, visibly thumping; cool men were indeed popular these days.
As he reached the third floor, a group of men in black suits armed with handguns were waiting in the hallway. One of them approached Run Tiancheng and said, “Mr. Run? The boss is waiting for you in room 310!”
Run Tiancheng touched his lips, looking skeptical. “Your boss knew I was coming? Was it his plan to shoot me down the moment I walked into this corridor?”
The man chuckled, “Mr. Run jests. In Xinyuan City, it’s easy for the boss to know someone’s whereabouts, and he mentioned not to waste a bullet on someone who isn’t afraid of guns.”
“Hmph, I can’t tell if that’s a compliment or an insult!” Run Tiancheng took a couple of steps forward, and as he did, the door directly at the end of the hallway opened. A man in a white suit with a crew cut and a sharp gaze stepped out, followed by Sun Hai and Scarface Four, flanking Ge Long on either side.
“Ge Long… Sun Hai…!” Run Tiancheng clenched his fists, his eyes blazing with hatred.
“Calm down!” Ge Long pulled a finely crafted metal box from his coat, intricately carved with totems. He leisurely drew a cigar from the box and placed it in his mouth, while Scarface Four quickly flicked his lighter to light it for Ge Long. Ge Long puffed a few times, exhaling a cloud of dark gray smoke: “I wonder what brings you here? If it’s singing, drinking, and playing with women, you’ve come to the right place!”
“You know exactly why I’m here. You scum killed Jing… I’m here to take your lives in her memory!” As Run Tiancheng spoke, he slowly took off his shirt, revealing his muscular torso, and advanced towards Ge Long.
A man in a white suit stepped in front of Run Tiancheng.
“Move, or I’ll kill you too!” Run Tiancheng glanced at the man, only to be surprised by his slightly blue eyes, clear and transparent as if a serene lake rippled within them-an unprecedented sight for him. But what truly shocked him was the coldness hidden within those beautiful eyes, a chilling presence that seemed to threaten a stormy upheaval at any moment.
“If you think Hagen is just an ordinary man, that’s your mistake!” Ge Long chuckled coldly.
“Hagen? A foreigner’s name?” Run Tiancheng frowned slightly, taking a closer look at the man in the white suit, noting something unique about his features.
“Correct, he’s a half-blood, a one-in-a-million genetic mutant. His genetic makeup is fundamentally different from ours. Try to get past him first!” Ge Long laughed as he settled into a sofa that Sun Hai had moved over.
“A genetic mutant, huh!” Run Tiancheng snorted, then threw a punch that whooshed and hit Hagen’s shoulder.
But Run Tiancheng was mistaken; his punch only hit Hagen’s white suit jacket. The real Hagen had already moved to his left side, delivering a straight punch to Run Tiancheng’s temple.
Run Tiancheng quickly grabbed the suit jacket to shield his face, leaning back swiftly while sweeping his left hand out.
Unperturbed, Hagen jumped back and then stepped forward, delivering a side kick to Run Tiancheng’s ribs. The force pushed Run Tiancheng back, sending a hapless henchman flying before he could steady himself.
Hagen adjusted the hem of his vest and pointed at Run Tiancheng with a flick of his finger before shaking his head from side to side.
“I’m not capable?” Run Tiancheng patted his side, striking a pose ready for attack. He knew Ge Long wasn’t just bluffing. The opponent in front of him was unlike anyone he had faced before, possessing strength that far surpassed that of a normal human. His speed and explosive power were astonishing, and Run Tiancheng could still feel a throbbing pain in his side.
“GO!” Hagen shouted, then quickly spun around, delivering a series of alternating kicks. Run Tiancheng quickly crossed his arms in front of his face to block the rapid succession of spinning kicks. The speed was so fast that even someone with quick reflexes like Run Tiancheng couldn’t dodge, only block forcefully. Suddenly, Hagen changed his stance and launched a sweeping kick, forcing Run Tiancheng to stagger back several steps, his left knee touching the ground.
“Hagen is the strongest among the genetic mutants; you stand no chance against him!” Ge Long’s triumphant demeanor escalated to a new level.
Taking a deep breath and slowly exhaling, Run Tiancheng calmed himself down. He looked at the footprint on his stomach and finally a long-lost smile appeared on his face. “They say impulse is the devil, leading you to destruction. That’s absolutely true. Thanks to you, I’ve cooled down quite a bit!”
Hagen smirked and posed provocatively, throwing a series of impressive hooks in the air, demonstrating his strength to Run Tiancheng.
A faint red gleam flashed in Run Tiancheng’s eyes, and then he vanished into thin air.
Taken aback, Hagen quickly raised his arms to defend himself. In a fraction of a second, Run Tiancheng reappeared ten meters away from where he had been, his fist slamming into Hagen’s defensive arms.
Hagen felt an explosive pain in his arms as his body uncontrollably slid backward three meters before he could steady himself. Just as he regained his footing, Run Tiancheng appeared in front of him again, delivering a kick to Hagen’s chest. Blood sprayed from Hagen’s mouth before he could recover, and Run Tiancheng’s hand grabbed his face, dragging him up once more.
“Ha!” Run Tiancheng, holding Hagen’s face, slammed his head against the wall, which dented like a foam board, instantly forming an indentation shaped like a head.
