“How did that batch from last night turn out?” Ge Long still lay on the sofa in his pajamas.

“Long-Ge, I talked with the people from Thailand yesterday, and we checked the goods. They’re top quality, but the asking price is way too high, 40% more than usual. They say recent anti-drug crackdowns in Southeast Asia have tightened supply. I set up another meeting for tonight to talk about it, and I wanted to get your opinion!” Zhou Cang, a clever guy, had grasped the drug trade process within days.

“We’ve taken over all twelve of Xin Weng’s schools. The Jiuzhou Higher Education Institution Alliance has complete control over all the schools in Xinyuan City. That day, Yuhua University was as lively as New Year’s, with ribbons strung everywhere and colorful balloons dancing in the wind. The sound of firecrackers was incessant, and the auditorium was packed with people waiting for the start of the celebration.

Run Tiancheng had been assigned an easy task; he and Third Zhuang were cornered, blowing up balloons. Despite their constant protests and complaints, they eventually complied under the coercion of Ouyang Jing.

At 9:30 AM, thirty minutes before the celebration was set to begin.

Five motorcycles, accompanied by the piercing roar of their engines and trailing thick black exhaust, drove through the school gates. The security guards hadn’t managed to stop them before they headed straight for the auditorium.

Following them, several canisters of tear gas, thick with smoke, were thrown from the motorcycles, causing immediate chaos at the scene. Screams erupted, and the motorcycles turned and left.

After Run Tiancheng and others managed to restore order at the scene, Third Zhuang stomped his foot angrily and said, “Damn, who would pull such a nasty prank?”

Run Tiancheng seemed to have anticipated this and picked up an empty tear gas canister from the ground, “This is a military model. It seems like someone just wanted to give us a warning. It’s purely a demonstration and a provocation.”

“Could it be Zhou Cang? Didn’t he promise you that he wouldn’t mess with us?” Third Zhuang angrily crunched the empty canister in his hand.

“No, it’s not him. But him not getting involved doesn’t mean others won’t. Let’s just be careful these days!” Run Tiancheng said calmly and then shouted to all the students, “It’s okay, everyone, no need to worry. It was just someone playing a prank to add to our school anniversary atmosphere. “These bastards, they must have waited for me to leave the school before they came back!” Run Tiancheng gritted his teeth in anger and, after discussing with the president for a while, announced to everyone, “Today’s school anniversary is temporarily canceled and rescheduled for next weekend. Everyone should head home now and avoid staying at the school to prevent any danger.”

The students dispersed with sighs of disappointment. Run Tiancheng then instructed Third Zhuang and other capable fighters to stay and guard the school, while Glasses Shorty and Ouyang Jing took refuge at his house. Afterwards, he changed into a tracksuit and left the school with an air of determination.

In a karaoke bar in Jiuzhou District, known to be one of Ge Long’s places and often frequented by Wei-Ge and others, Run Tiancheng decided to start by extracting the details from Wei-Ge.

Who could stop Run Tiancheng when he was determined to go somewhere? Wei-Ge was quickly found and under Run Tiancheng’s forceful interrogation, spilled everything he knew, although it seemed the attack on the school was not really connected to him.

Run Tiancheng dismantled Wei-Ge’s pistol right in front of him and with a gentle punch destroyed a solid wood table, finally making Wei-Ge confess. He repeatedly pleaded with Run Tiancheng not to reveal that the information came from him. Run Tiancheng agreed, and only then did Wei-Ge say, “It must be Sun-Ge. I saw him this morning calling five highly skilled men to his house for a meeting-I saw it as I passed by his house…”

“Sun-Ge?” Run Tiancheng asked for more details about Sun-Ge, then discarded Wei-Ge like a piece of scrap paper. With Zhou Cang sent away by Ge Long on an errand, it seemed he had no choice today but to confront Sun-Ge directly!
