Supreme Rogue Play in Another World - Chapter 33 - Ashura Zhou Cang
It’s been a week since Zhou Cang’s sudden betrayal, and during this time, he hasn’t returned to school even once. Some henchmen reportedly spotted him with Ge Long and his group, frequenting noisy venues.
Without Zhou Cang’s pivotal presence, the Tiancheng Gang has fallen into a slump. From that day on, no member of the Jiuzhou Higher Education Institution Alliance has caused them any trouble. Slowly, everyone is adapting to Zhou Cang’s departure.
Run Tiancheng still sleeps in class, and whenever he starts snoring, Ouyang Jing pinches his arm and tells him, “You’re sleeping wrong, get up and try again.”
“Tiancheng, why do you think Zhou Cang suddenly betrayed us? Don’t you find it suspicious?” Ouyang Jing asked while lying on Run Tiancheng’s lap during their lunch break on the rooftop.
“I don’t know either. Maybe we didn’t know him well enough. But my instinct tells me he must have had his reasons for betraying us and siding with Ge Long. Perhaps there’s something he can’t talk about,” Run Tiancheng said, leaning his head against the railing, exhaling smoke rings while gazing at the clouds.
“Then why do you think he hasn’t come back to school? Where do you think he is and what is he doing?” Ouyang Jing sounded like she had a million questions, as most girls do.
“I have no idea where he is, but maybe he doesn’t want to face those he betrayed,” Run Tiancheng replied, shaking his head helplessly.
So, where is Zhou Cang now?
He is in a dimly lit basement.
It’s the office of an underground gambling den. During this time of day, it isn’t open for business, so it’s very quiet.
Zhou Cang is sitting leisurely at a desk, lighting a cigarette. He looks at the people seated across from him and says coldly, “I assume the boss has already informed you. Any objections?”
Sitting opposite him are Wei-Ge, Boss Liang, Boss Cao, and Boss Gu. The four of them sit silently with somber expressions.
“The sports academy is now under my control, but a few rotten pieces aren’t enough to accomplish anything. Frankly, I really don’t want to take you useless guys under my wing,” Zhou Cang’s mocking words sting, no matter who hears them.
“You think you’re something special? Don’t think you’re so great just because you’ve sweet-talked the big boss!” Boss Gu finally lost it, slamming the table as he stood up.
“Boss Gu, calm down! You can’t be disrespectful to Young Master Zhou!” Wei-Ge shouted, watching as Boss Gu gritted his teeth and sat back down with a forced smile. “Do you think the big boss is a fool? If he’s chosen Young Master Zhou to lead the Jiuzhou Higher Education Institution Alliance, then we must follow the big boss’s orders!”
“Let him? Why? He’s just a young brat who hasn’t even grown up yet. We’ve always been equals in the Jiuzhou Higher Education Institution Alliance, so why is he suddenly above us? I want to confront the big boss about this!” Boss Gu seemed unable to hold back any longer.
“Alright, I’ll help you dial the number. Do you remember Guan Hu? If you want to learn from his fate and anger the big boss, I don’t mind making this call. But by then, there’ll be no need for Sun-Ge to step in-I’ll enforce the internal discipline myself!” Wei-Ge said as he tossed his phone onto the table in front of Boss Gu and slowly reached toward his jacket.
Boss Gu broke out in a cold sweat. He vividly remembered Guan Hu’s fate and was even more fearful of what Wei-Ge might have in his jacket. It wasn’t something he could deal with, so he wisely kept his mouth shut and sat there obediently like a good child.
“Hmm, it seems I need to regard you differently, Wei-Ge,” Zhou Cang said, clapping lightly before continuing, “I’ve checked. In Xinyuan City, besides the Jiuzhou District, there are thirteen schools not yet part of our alliance. I don’t want to deal with Yuhua University for now, because of Run Tiancheng’s strength-which I’m sure, Wei-Ge, you know very well…”
Wei-Ge nodded vigorously.
Zhou Cang continued, “The remaining twelve schools include three middle schools, five high schools, two vocational schools, and two universities. I want to know why they haven’t been taken yet.”
“Young Master Zhou, those twelve schools belong to another large gang. We’ve been evenly matched in strength, so we’ve always maintained a mutual non-aggression agreement…” Boss Liang hesitated.
“Nonsense! What evenly matched?” Zhou Cang slammed his hand on the table and stood up, making Boss Liang shudder. “Failing to handle such small matters is an embarrassment to the boss! Gather the people; within a week, take over those schools, or else, expect the same internal discipline to be enforced on you!”
His fierce and menacing presence sent chills down the spines of these seasoned bosses. They hadn’t expected Zhou Cang, whom they thought was just a rich young master, to be so vastly different from what they imagined.
The next day, the Jiuzhou Higher Education Institution Alliance sprang into action.
Within a single day, two schools were attacked in succession, led by Ashura Zhou Cang himself. Upon entering a school, the first order of business was to seal off the school and cut off all external communications. Then, they would strike anyone they encountered, specifically targeting the school’s bosses. The ferocity and ruthlessness of Zhou Cang’s methods were shocking to all who witnessed them.
One of Zhou Cang’s many techniques was to hang and beat the defiant students. Tying them up tightly with thick hemp ropes and suspending them in the center of the playground, he would then lash them violently with a whip soaked in saltwater. Each strike would tear flesh and send blood spraying, causing many students to faint before they even had a chance to surrender.
Within three days, thirteen schools in Xinyuan City that were not part of the Jiuzhou Higher Education Institution Alliance had already fallen. Zhou Cang’s reputation spread like a storm, earning him a name that terrified everyone: Ashura Zhou Cang.
To the average student, merely hearing this name was enough to send shivers down their spine. At this time, Zhou Cang had become the nightmare of students in Xinyuan City.
In the student union conference room of Yuhua University.
All the key members of the Tiancheng Gang were gathered to discuss the issue concerning Zhou Cang. Except for a few confidants, the others had not followed him when he abruptly left the gang.
“How could Young Master Cang do something like this?” a freshman said, shaking his head repeatedly.
“Hmph, you’ve heard it yourself. The current hot topic among the students in Xinyuan City is him. Those bullied and oppressed students wouldn’t be lying, right?” another student retorted indignantly.
“They talk about creating an ideal world, but it was all lies. He just used us to climb up to Ge Long, and then kicked us aside!” Third Zhuang couldn’t help but flare up whenever Zhou Cang was mentioned.
“Shouldn’t we do something to stop him from continuing this reckless behavior?” one student looked hopefully towards Run Tiancheng.
“Are you kidding? He now controls dozens of schools. Even if our boss is powerful, I doubt he can do much!” someone immediately countered.
“So are we just going to sit here and wait for him to come to us?” the more timid ones asked.
“Enough arguing!” Run Tiancheng stood up, surveyed everyone, and suddenly declared, “I think it’s time we met him!”
