Supreme Rogue Play in Another World - Chapter 31 - Zhou Cang's Action
Sun Hai’s methods were brutal and violent, leaving all the students present utterly shocked.
“I… I want to see the big boss…” Guan Hu, barely clinging to life, was sprawled on the ground, his eyes having lost their earlier luster.
“Forget it, the big boss won’t meet a dog that bites its master!” Sun Hai took a tissue from his pocket to wipe his hands, then took the clothes handed to him by his subordinate and put them on. He glanced at the other students, seemingly warning them: Guan Hu is an example; anyone intending to betray us will face the same fate!
“Kill… kill me…” Guan Hu seemed to make a final plea.
“No, the big boss is merciful. You’re already a cripple, and for the rest of your life, you’ll be confined to a wheelchair, unable to even take care of basic needs. You’ll live like a real dog from now on!” Sun Hai looked at Guan Hu and instructed his men to carry him out and dump him in an alley. He settled comfortably into a chair and asked Wei-Ge and the others, “Alright, the issue is resolved, but… we have another problem!”
Wei-Ge quickly lit a cigarette for Sun Hai and said, “Sun-Ge, don’t worry. I’ll figure out a way to get that batch of goods back. If we truly can’t recover it, we brothers will pool our money to pay back the big boss!”
Sun Hai nodded with a smile, “Not bad, not bad, you little monkeys have some sense…” Suddenly, his expression changed dramatically, switching to anger as he scolded, “Damn it, do you really think you can afford to pay for that batch of goods?”
Wei-Ge was taken aback, stammering, “Sun… Sun-Ge… isn’t it just a few bags of drugs? Why can’t we pay for it?”
Sun Hai stood up and glared at Wei-Ge, asking, “Who went to pick up that batch of goods?”
“Sun-Ge, it was me…” Boss Liang timidly poked his head forward.
“You blind fool!” Sun Hai kicked Boss Liang in the stomach. How could such a frail body withstand that? Boss Liang’s body flew back and hit the wall, collapsing to the ground foaming at the mouth.
“Sun-Ge, what’s…?” Wei-Ge looked at Sun Hai in confusion, starting to feel scared as his mind raced to figure out where things had gone wrong.
“That foolish kid, you didn’t even check what you were picking up. Do you know what you took? It was meth! Premium meth, worth at least three million! Can you afford to pay for that?” After a scolding, Sun Hai sat back in his chair with a scowl, glaring at Boss Liang.
“Sun… Sun-Ge, please calm down. I know where that batch is. As long as we find Zhou Cang, we can get it back. I’ve already sent people to look for him…” Boss Cao, trembling on the side, quickly interjected to cover for Boss Liang.
Sun Hai’s phone rang. He picked it up, nodded with a frown, and then hung up, saying, “There’s no need. Zhou Cang is currently with the big boss.”
Ge Long’s villa, although not as grand as the Zhou Family’s estate, was still a rarity in Xinyuan City.
Zhou Cang was sitting on a leather sofa in the living room when a servant poured him a cup of tea.
“Hahaha! Young Master Zhou!” Ge Long, wearing a dragon-embroidered robe, descended from the attic. “What brings the famous young master of the Zhou Family here today?”
Zhou Cang stood up politely and responded with a smile, “Hello, Boss Ge. I’ve long heard of your illustrious reputation in Xinyuan City, and today I finally have the honor to meet you. Your reputation is certainly well-deserved.”
“Hehe, you’re too kind. Have a seat!” Ge Long settled onto the sofa, and his henchman respectfully lit a cigar for him before retreating. Only then did Ge Long continue, “As they say, one doesn’t visit without reason. What brings Young Master Zhou here today? Our families have a good relationship, so please, no need to stand on ceremony.”
Zhou Cang nodded and sat down, saying, “Well… I’ll be frank. Long-Ge, you’ve lost something recently, haven’t you?”
Ge Long’s expression changed slightly, but then he smiled and said, “Oh? What did I lose?”
Zhou Cang licked his lips and pulled a bag of white powder from his leather bag, placing it on the table in front of him. “Originally, a friend of mine wanted me to do a small business deal, so I picked up some goods. But when I got the goods, I found something wrong and couldn’t find that friend. I started asking around and later found out these goods belonged to Long-Ge. So, I’ve brought them back to you!”
Ge Long glanced at the items on the table and flatly denied, “What is this? How could this have anything to do with me? You must be mistaken, brother. Put it away quickly; if someone sees it, there’ll be big trouble. I’m a legitimate businessman and would never touch such things!”
Zhou Cang shrugged, looking somewhat helpless, and said, “Well, alright, maybe I was mistaken. I won’t bother you any longer, brother!” With that, he put the items back in his bag and got up to leave.
“Oh, by the way, I just remembered, a friend of mine recently lost something. What you have might be his. Why don’t you go ask him?” Ge Long rose to see him out and added, “Feel free to drop by anytime. Out of respect for your father, I, as your elder, have to look out for you, don’t I?”
Watching Zhou Cang leave the villa, Ge Long’s expression darkened. He poured himself a glass of red wine and sat on the sofa, pondering the situation. A middle-aged man dressed in a white suit descended from the attic. “Long-Ge, has he left?”
Ge Long nodded but said nothing.
“Isn’t that batch the one we lost? Why not take it back? Or should I…?” The man made a slicing gesture across his throat.
“No, absolutely not. If word gets out, it would be evidence of drug trafficking, wouldn’t it? And we can’t touch him-his father is powerful and influential. Although he hasn’t meddled in our affairs, who knows what the old man would do if we harmed his son!” Ge Long took a sip of wine, his eyes gleaming with a mysterious light. “We can’t afford any other blunders before our experiment is successful. That kid has plenty of money; he won’t mess with this batch. Hand me my phone!”
The man in white casually handed Ge Long a phone. Ge Long dialed the number Zhou Cang had left earlier, speaking smoothly, “Haha, is that you, brother? This is Ge Long. I just checked with a friend; that item is indeed something he lost. I’ll have him send someone to pick it up from you.”
After hanging up, the man in white asked in confusion, “Long-Ge, what are you doing?”
Ge Long downed the wine in his glass and replied with a smile, “This way, the batch has nothing to do with me. If something goes wrong, at most I’ll be charged with failing to report it. Now, hurry and find that kid to retrieve it!”
Watching the man in white leave, Ge Long’s lips curled into a sly and ruthless smile…
