Supreme Rogue Play in Another World - Chapter 22 - One Against a Thousand
On the playground of Tianshi University, hundreds of students dressed in blue school uniforms gathered together.
Wei-Ge and a few of his trusted henchmen were seated in the stands of the soccer field, smoking cigarettes. Wei-Ge asked, “Have you found out who is coming?”
One of the henchmen quickly replied, “Yes, Wei-Ge, we’ve found out. It’s Run Tiancheng! We’ve already lured him over to the playground!”
“Oh? Run Tiancheng?” Wei-Ge squinted his eyes, “That brat, I haven’t even gone looking for him, yet he’s come right to me! Tell the brothers to beat him mercilessly. Hmm, no matter how tough he is, what can he do alone against hundreds of us?”
A few henchmen snickered maliciously. At that moment, the security office personnel also rushed over, and a student relayed a message: “Wei-Ge, Mr. Zhang from the security office is looking for you!”
Wei-Ge nodded. A man in his forties, balding and dressed in a security guard uniform, was panting as he ran over, clutching his electric baton, “Miao Wei!”
Wei-Ge nodded again and said, “Mr. Zhang, thanks for the trouble of coming out so late. What do you need?”
Mr. Zhang, patting his plump belly, hurriedly said, “Miao Wei, I heard there was trouble, and the security guards called me out. Who is it exactly? I heard it’s someone here for you, and also, gathering so many people on the playground, if something happens, and the school blames it on me tomorrow…”
Wei-Ge snorted coldly, “Mr. Zhang, can’t I, Miao Wei, handle my own affairs? Don’t worry, it won’t be the security office’s turn to step in. I’ll take care of my own problems!” Saying this, he gave a henchman a knowing look, who quickly pulled out a packet from his coat and stuffed it into Mr. Zhang’s hand.
“Miao Wei… this…” Mr. Zhang hesitated, clearly knowing what was inside.
“Alright, consider this money a treat for your guys to have a drink. Just turn a blind eye to tonight’s events!” After saying this, Wei-Ge no longer paid any attention to Mr. Zhang.
Mr. Zhang quickly nodded, bowed, and tucked the packet into his jacket, scurrying off the playground, probably to share the spoils with his security guards.
Guided by a student, Run Tiancheng arrived at the playground and immediately saw the massive crowd waiting for him.
He pulled out a baseball bat from behind and shouted, “Get out of my way, you lackeys, and let Miao Wei face me!”
The students laughed and surrounded Run Tiancheng. A student with dyed yellow hair mocked, “Oh wow, big words! Wei-Ge said if you want to see him, you have to get through us first. I think you should just give up and let us each give you a kick to the curb!”
Big words, a kick from each person? Run Tiancheng glanced around; if not a thousand, there were at least eight hundred students. If an ordinary person took a kick from each, they’d be in pieces. He gritted his teeth, stopped wasting words, and charged at the yellow-haired student with his baseball bat.
Although he controlled the force well enough to avoid causing severe injury, it was more than the average person could handle. Nearly every swing of the bat left a student unable to get up.
The yellow-haired student was the first to be knocked out of the crowd, and soon others were sent flying like they were on a dirt plane.
Despite this, the students continued to swarm, and the numbers game thrilled Wei-Ge as he watched from the stands.
Run Tiancheng darted back and forth in the crowd, his baseball bat seemingly alive as it spun around, leaving trails of blood.
He was like an angry lion, quickly knocking down dozens of people, though his clothes were now shredded. Even though he was incredibly agile, surrounded by so many attackers, he inevitably took quite a few hits.
Fortunately, his muscles were as hard as stone. If it were someone like Third Zhuang, they would probably be lying on the ground unable to move by now.
“Even if he can take down three hundred people on his own, a thousand should be enough to handle him. It would be wise to pray these kids don’t cause any casualties at school!” Wei Ge watched with schadenfreude, while his subordinates brought him a fruit platter and beer.
But he didn’t know that Run Tiancheng was holding back, likely reducing his strength to the minimum. If he were to go all out, these students would all be turned into pulp, and the playground would become a pool of blood.
Ten minutes had passed, and Run Tiancheng was still fighting among the crowd. Hundreds of students lay groaning on the ground around him, his body smeared with their blood, looking like a demonic Asura engaged in a fierce battle.
Brawling differed from one-on-one fights; there was no technique involved. Fueled by rage and bolstered by his formidable strength, sturdy physique, and ample stamina, Run Tiancheng knocked down every opponent that came close. His baseball bat was shattered in the process.
“This can’t go on like this!” Run Tiancheng observed the relentless wave of students charging at him and glanced at the handle of the baseball bat left in his hand. Clenching his teeth, he began to adjust his mindset.
Seeing Run Tiancheng standing motionless, the students thought he had exhausted himself to the limit and had given up resisting. They rushed at him with even more arrogance.
Calm as still water!
A faint purple qi rose from his hands. Suddenly, his eyes widened and he bellowed, “Break!” With that, he thrust his right palm outward and a gust of wind seemed to emerge out of nowhere on the playground, causing the dust on the ground to float up. Then, a fierce wind blew, and the students charging towards him felt as though they had hit a wall, their bodies uncontrollably flying backward.
Three hundred students were instantly thrown to the ground, and while Run Tiancheng had used this move, he began to gasp for breath. However, the effect of the move was significant, and everyone was stunned, with no one daring to move.
Wei-Ge had just put a grape in his mouth, which now slipped out along with his saliva. His expression, like that of the other students, indicated that such a scene was something one might only see in Hong Kong and Taiwanese movies or martial arts novels. Unexpectedly, it was happening right in front of them.
Silence fell over the entire scene.
Run Tiancheng exhaled. The power of his new experience had been dispersed with that strike, which was initially just a bluff, but the effect had exceeded his expectations. Now, however, his right hand was numb and slightly trembling-force was mutual, after all.
“Miao Wei, so you were there! I finally found you!” Run Tiancheng looked up and spotted Wei-Ge far away in the stands, a glint of murderous intent flashing in his eyes as he started walking towards him…
