- Chapter 107 - Honey, You Put in the Effort, I Enjoy!
Her startled exclamation greatly satisfied the man’s ego. Having eaten and drunk his fill, he was in a fantastic mood. With a contented grin, he pulled her back into his arms, feigning ignorance, “Too short, huh?”
Short? Zhan Niantong felt her nerves were thoroughly provoked, and she instantly bristled. Without hesitation, she swung a fist at his firm chest, “Short, my foot…”
The man, even more amused, leisurely watched his bristling wife. He blinked innocently, continuing to play dumb, “So, was it too quick? Not satisfied yet? How about we… go again?”
“Ahhh, quick, my foot…” An hour and fifty minutes and he calls that quick? Any longer and she’d surely pass out!
“Honey, wasn’t the timing just right? Not too fast, not too slow?” Xia Zhennan mischievously teased his bristling wife, enjoying her flustered and angry transformation into a little cat, claws outstretched. He played the part of Wolffy, coaxing the little lamb, “How about we aim to keep it at this pace from now on?”
What? An hour and fifty minutes every time? Even with her good health, she couldn’t endure such rigorous exertion! Was he trying to squeeze her dry?
“No way, I’ll be exhausted, okay?” His extraordinary stamina today had already worn her out. If it was like this every time, she might as well just stay in bed all day.
“I’m the one who’s more tired, okay? You’re just lying there comfortably enjoying it!” When it comes to exhaustion, the woman lying in bed has no right to complain!
Embarrassed, she realized he might be right. Every time they did that, he was drenched in sweat, like raindrops falling continuously. Comparing her effort to his seemed a bit unfair.
Her mind spun, eyes glinting mischievously, “Actually, you don’t have to tire yourself out. Just don’t do that, that.”
Her face turned crimson after saying it!
The little guy dared to suggest such a lousy idea, and she’d have to bear the consequences! So, Xia Zhennan, with a mischievous smile, leaned closer, looking utterly innocent, “Which ‘that, that’ are you talking about, honey…”
“It’s just that, that!” His warm breath on her face sent tingling sensations through her, making her shrink back, her voice losing confidence.
“Oh!” Xia Zhennan drew out the sound, as if suddenly enlightened. His handsome face moved even closer, his sensual, thin lips brushing against her sensitive ear, enunciating clearly, “Do you mean making love?”
“Woo woo…” The shy little girl quickly escaped, struggling out of his embrace and pulling the blanket over herself, wrapping up tightly. She was too embarrassed to face anyone!
The mischievous grin on the man’s face grew even wider, satisfied with his success. He spoke to the head hidden under the blanket, “That’s not possible, dear. That part of life is a sign of harmony between a couple. Besides, if I don’t do this with you…” He reached out and gently touched her flat belly, “How would little Baozi and little Mantou come into existence here?”
“I don’t hear, I don’t hear,” the little woman buried under the covers tried to convince herself not to listen to him. Yet, every word he said slipped into her ears clearly, and she secretly thought, maybe he had a point.
“So, to save me from being so tired, there’s another great method.” The big bad wolf was leading the little rabbit into a trap, but he only said half of the sentence, deliberately leaving her hanging.
This was just teasing her curiosity! The little woman perked up her ears, eager to hear what he would say next, but he stopped talking. Unable to resist, she crawled out from under the covers and asked anxiously, “What method?”
“Just like this…” With his plan succeeding, Xia Zhennan seized the moment. His hands moved swiftly, wrapping around her waist, and with a gentle force, they spun together, ending up with her on top and him below, as she straddled his waist.
“Ah…” The sudden change made Zhan Niantong exclaim in surprise. Once she sat upright, she realized how suggestive and embarrassing their position was, especially with something firm pressing against her little bottom.
Suddenly, she understood what he meant by the method!
She would exert herself, while he comfortably enjoyed!
Woo woo, he was really too naughty, and she’d been tricked again.
Sure enough, the mischievous man spoke up the next second, his tone teasing, “Honey, with this position, you can do the work, and I can just lie back and enjoy.”
His hands were firmly around her waist, making escape impossible. She buried her head into his chest, her voice muffled, “No…” Her hands clawed at his shoulders, tickling him, “Not this embarrassing position, I don’t want to exert myself…”
Sigh, after being trained so many times, how could his little wife still be so shy? “Alright then, I’ll keep doing the work, and you can just lie back and enjoy.”
“Mm.” It seemed like she was the one benefiting from this arrangement! Complaining about being tired would be a bit unfair, so she decided to quietly enjoy this rare moment of peace nestled against him.
“Then come back into my arms.” He invited her.
“No.” She was still too shy to lift her head, fearing he’d see her blushing face and tease her again!
“Honey…” He was amused and helpless, offering a gentle reminder, “Honey, haven’t you noticed your little bottom is pressing against my little buddy, and it’s…” slowly growing longer and starting to stir?
“Ah…” Indeed, the moment she realized, the little woman reacted like a rabbit chased by a wolf, quickly jumping off and obediently curling up in his arms, tense and motionless.
The flames of desire had been stoked halfway, but Xia Zhennan, feeling sorry for his wife who had just been exhausted, decided to extinguish the fire with some mental fortitude. After all, it was not even nine o’clock yet, and going to bed this early seemed like a waste.
He needed to find something to do, and immediately remembered the special “self-criticism letter.”
“Wife, you haven’t let me check your self-criticism letter yet?” The thought of it made him eager to know what his wife had written, especially the enticing words she might have used.
“Yours hasn’t been checked by me either,” she replied, as if it were only natural.
“Alright, how about we check each other’s now?” He thought it was a brilliant idea.
“Okay.” After all, it was still early, and she couldn’t just stay nestled in his arms. If they accidentally sparked the flames again, even though he would bear the brunt, it would still be tiring for her too.
An idea popped into her head, and her eyes lit up as she eagerly jumped up. “I’ll go get them.”
Watching her leap away, Xia Zhennan’s eyes were filled with tender affection. “Wife, do you know where my self-criticism letter is?”
“I know, it’s in your briefcase!” She had caught a glimpse of it when she helped him with his briefcase in the morning.
Soon, she returned with two sheets of A4 paper, but instead of climbing back onto the bed, she held up a folded sheet, waving it twice. “Here, this is my self-criticism letter for you, and this other one is yours for me.”
With that, she tossed the “self-criticism letter” to the person on the bed and quickly fled the master bedroom with her own letter.
Xia Zhennan chuckled at his wife’s adorable antics, thinking she was embarrassed about the mushy words she had written and was afraid of being too shy to face him, so he didn’t mind.
He casually opened the “self-criticism letter,” and upon seeing the blank sheet of paper, his expression turned from green to exasperated. Now he understood why his wife had run off so quickly; she had mischievously tricked him!
However, he wasn’t in a hurry to catch the playful little rabbit.
Because he had his own ace up his sleeve.
With a smile, he reclined lazily on the bed, picked up a book, and began to read leisurely, waiting for the little rabbit to come back to him willingly.
The woman who had secluded herself in the study was now engrossed in her husband’s self-criticism letter.
An A4 sheet, nearly filled, with handwriting that was both bold and graceful, reflecting his resolute character. Yet, upon closer inspection, there were strokes that were gentle and delicate, perfectly balanced, embodying his occasional tenderness amidst his steadfast nature.
They say you can understand a person through their handwriting, and this was certainly true.
Moreover, his self-criticism letter was impeccably written, flowing smoothly, almost like a model essay. Compared to this, the ones online seemed quite inferior.
However, no matter how she looked at it, the words didn’t add up to three thousand!
How sneaky, trying to get away with less! There’s no such easy way out in this world!
With a huff, she stormed back to the master bedroom, ready to confront someone about it.
Hearing her approach, Xia Zhennan set his book aside, his gaze leisurely landing on his wife, whose cheeks were puffed with indignation. A mischievous smile naturally played on his lips.
With a swift turn of her bright eyes, Zhan Niantong defiantly placed her hands on her hips, glaring at the man lounging on the bed: “Explain to me why your self-criticism letter is so short! I’ve counted, and it’s barely over a thousand words! Did you eat the other thousand?”
Seeing his wife in full battle mode, Xia Zhennan raised an eyebrow, his smile unwavering, though his gaze held a hint of mystery: “Are you here to settle scores with me, dear?”
“Of course,” she huffed, determined to seize the opportunity to punish him again: “You broke the rules, so…”
Her fierce words abruptly halted, her pupils dilating as she stared at the A4 paper he casually picked up, accompanied by his voice, casual yet layered with meaning: “Shouldn’t you count the words in your own ‘self-criticism letter’ first?”
Boom-In her earlier fury, she had completely forgotten about that. Now, wasn’t she just walking into a trap? She wished she could transform into a cloud and float away.
She forced a smile, her expression stiff, making her smile look more like a grimace: “Heh…”
“Hmm?” Meeting her regretful gaze, Xia Zhennan elegantly tossed aside the thin blanket, his strong legs stepping off the bed with ease, his tall frame rising, his dark eyes locked onto hers as he approached.
Zhan Niantong was now regretting her actions deeply, wishing she hadn’t dug a hole for herself and jumped right in. She wanted to bury herself to avoid facing his smiling yet ‘dangerous’ eyes.
Xia Zhennan finally reached her side, towering over her with an undeniable presence and pressure: “Shouldn’t you explain first? Your self-criticism letter is completely blank. Does that mean you were just bluffing when you said you’d written it?”
Zhan Niantong panicked, shaking her head vigorously: “No, I’ve finished it.” Anxious, she confessed honestly, hoping for leniency: “I picked up the wrong one by mistake.”
“Mistake?” Xia Zhennan eyed her flushed face with interest, raising an eyebrow as he waved the A4 paper in front of her, his gaze meaningful: “You haven’t even seen what’s written inside. How do you know you picked the wrong one?”
Uh-It felt like every word her husband said was a trap, enticing her to fall right in!
He continued, his expression calm yet relentless, forcing her to admit: “Were you deliberately picking the wrong one?”
“No, absolutely not.” She was on the verge of tears, regretting her earlier mischief of handing him a blank A4 sheet: “I’ll go get the self-criticism letter, just wait a moment.”
With that, she dashed off like a rabbit fleeing for its life, disappearing without a trace, only to return shortly, hurriedly, with a folded A4 sheet in hand, respectfully presenting it to him: “Here it is, my self-criticism letter, please accept it!”
