Neither Are You Wrong - Chapter 19
With the divorce paperwork finalized, I could finally part ways with Sean.
As I was about to leave, he suddenly grabbed my arm.
“Sophia, you’re more ruthless than I imagined.”
“Why can you let go of ten years of feelings just like that, without leaving any room for reconciliation?”
He seemed unable to comprehend my decisiveness.
Understandable.
From the moment I discovered his infidelity to the end of our relationship, it was merely three months.
I never made a scene, never argued, remaining calm like an outsider.
I shook off his arm, deliberately mocking him.
“Because I know that no matter how sad I am, we can’t go back.”
“And besides, haven’t you found your vibrant love?”
“Where’s your love?”
“It’s only been a few months, hasn’t it? What? You talk about love with Lily, but Lily isn’t talking about love with you?”
My bestie couldn’t hold back and burst into laughter.
“A young girl in her early twenties can’t possibly be after your feelings.”
“Really think you’re a pure love warrior?”
While fighting the divorce case with Sean, I applied for asset preservation.
After the judgment came down, Lily probably realized she wouldn’t get anything.
It’s said that she argued with Sean a few times and then threatened to break up.
Perhaps our laughter was too loud, causing him to step back.
He looked much more haggard than a month ago.
The more I looked, the more satisfied I felt.
After thinking for a while, I decided to leave him with a parting remark.
“Sean, good luck.”
“Remember to always believe in love.”
