My Girlfriend's a Monster - Chapter 55
“Contraceptive measures?”
Zhong Qingxiao was taken aback at first, then replied, “Well… yes, Aunt Luo, you don’t need to worry.”
His ears felt a bit hot. Ever since he had been intimate with his girlfriend, the thought of contraception had never crossed his mind because it was simply impossible for her to get pregnant. However, to put the elder at ease, he vaguely brushed off the question.
But his wandering gaze did not escape Luo Meihua’s sharp eyes.
“What kind of contraceptive measures are you using?” Luo Meihua pressed on. Since she had brought it up, she intended to get to the bottom of it. Boys were often careless in this regard, and Xiao Ke was quite the carefree type. Even with Qingxiao, Luo Meihua couldn’t be sure there hadn’t been any oversight.
“Well… we…” Qingxiao stammered. He was terrible at lying. When questioned about something that didn’t exist, his mind would go blank.
His reaction only confirmed Luo Meihua’s suspicions that the two of them hadn’t been using any contraceptive measures at all.
Her expression darkened as she spoke, “You two are still young. I don’t blame you for not being prepared in this regard. But Qingxiao, you know how careless Xiao Ke can be. The world outside is in chaos right now. Pregnancy is a big deal. If she gets pregnant, how will she handle it? If she can’t terminate it, she’ll have to give birth. If she can give birth safely, that’s fine. But what if she can’t? You need to think about these things.”
Qingxiao stiffened and quickly agreed, “Yes, yes, Aunt Luo, I’ll be careful.”
“We’re using the withdrawal method,” Luo Ke’s voice suddenly chimed in, catching both of them off guard.
“So far, Zhong Qingxiao hasn’t gone inside. My vaginal tissue is still intact,” Luo Ke explained matter-of-factly, her words stark and explicit, causing Qingxiao’s already warm ears to turn bright red.
It was too explicit!
Even Luo Meihua was momentarily taken aback by Luo Ke’s bluntness. She nodded repeatedly, “That’s… that’s good, then.”
Then she hurriedly grabbed some bowls and chopsticks and left.
“Xiao Ke!” Qingxiao lowered his voice, “Humans don’t communicate like that!”
“Why not?” Luo Ke asked, puzzled. “Aren’t these terms created by humans? Or do you prefer more colloquial expressions, like in the comics? My little…”
As she began to clearly pronounce the word starting with “P,” Qingxiao quickly covered her mouth.
“Ah, let’s eat. It’s time to eat,” Qingxiao hurriedly changed the subject.
Luo Ke smiled sweetly. How amusing, her shy dear wife.
Tonight’s dinner featured Chicken Stewed with Mushrooms, a specialty of Luo Meihua. The family members, consciously or unconsciously, accommodated Luo Ke, not touching the dish at all.
Luo Ke didn’t notice this and ate happily, thinking about how she would sleep with Qingxiao later, which made her even happier.
After dinner, Yan Cheng came over, asking Luo Meihua to check on Zheng Xiangyu and help with an anti-inflammatory injection.
The two young people who had gone out to gather supplies were not tasked with household chores. Zhong Shuping went to the kitchen to wash the dishes, while Qingxiao went to the bathroom to take a shower.
As he was about to close the door, a slender hand grabbed the door frame, and Luo Ke stared at him with a bold gaze.
“This isn’t appropriate…” Qingxiao felt awkward. He considered bathing to be a private matter and couldn’t get used to doing it together.
Luo Ke quickly put on a pitiful expression and turned to leave, causing a surge of guilt to rise in Qingxiao’s heart.
After his shower, Qingxiao expected to find his girlfriend sitting by the bed waiting for him, as usual. However, today was different. As he dried his hair and stepped out, he noticed the door was ajar, and the three family members were nowhere to be seen.
Did they go out?
Qingxiao glanced down, grabbed a coat from the entryway, and put on his shoes before heading out.
The noise outside was loud, and Qingxiao’s instincts told him something was wrong. As he walked towards the corridor, he witnessed a shocking scene-Ge Hailong was holding a sharp knife, aiming it at Aunt Luo. Yan Cheng was restraining him, but the knife was still only a few centimeters from Aunt Luo’s chest. His father was trying to pull Aunt Luo away from the knife.
Not only Yan Cheng, but several others were also holding Ge Hailong back, cursing at him. The situation was at a standstill.
Qingxiao was startled. He quickly ran over and pried Ge Hailong’s hand open. With his help, the stalemate was finally broken, and Ge Hailong was thrown to the ground by several men.
“Ge Hailong, are you even human? You try to kill people just because you don’t get food!?” Yan Cheng cursed, kicking Ge Hailong a few times.
Ge Hailong, realizing he was outmatched, held his head and cried, “It wasn’t me! It wasn’t me! Chen Ming told me to do it! Ah! Stop hitting me! Spare me!”
“He tells you to kill, and you kill? What a loyal dog,” Qin Mei sneered, helping Zhong Shuping lift Luo Meihua.
Luo Meihua was clearly shaken, but as a head nurse with years of experience, she wasn’t completely rattled.
Qingxiao frowned, realizing he needed to discuss with Yan Cheng and the others about driving the Baoliyuan people out. If they were resorting to murder, what else could they do?
Just as Qingxiao turned around, he met Luo Ke’s gaze. She was leaning against the wall, looking completely relaxed, her eyes calmly observing the scene.
Qingxiao’s heart sank-when had Xiao Ke arrived?
“What happened?” Luo Ke asked, her question successfully diverting Qingxiao’s attention from his earlier doubts. He shook his head and said, “It’s all resolved now. Where were you just now?”
“I was in the bathroom,” Luo Ke lied without changing her expression.
“Oh, it seems something interesting happened? Why is the Baoliyuan dog pinned to the ground?” Zhao Xucheng arrived late, laughing as he looked at the scene. His gaze fell on Luo Ke, and he greeted her affectionately, “Hey, beautiful.”
Then, as if only just noticing Qingxiao, he greeted him with the same expression, “Oh, you’re here too.”
Qingxiao remained silent. If Zhao Xucheng’s eyes were working, he would have seen him first, not Xiao Ke.
But his eyes followed Zhao Xucheng’s hand on Luo Ke’s shoulder, his gaze flickering.
It was a natural gesture. Zhao Xucheng lightly patted Luo Ke’s shoulder, a move that seemed practiced. Either Zhao Xucheng was just a flirtatious person, or he had done this many times when no one was around.
Sure enough, Luo Ke didn’t resist, despite Qingxiao having previously told her not to let other men touch her. She showed no reaction.
Qingxiao’s expression darkened.
Reserve food… Luo Ke suddenly remembered she needed to find an opportunity to eat Zhao Xucheng. This piece of meat’s brain still held Zhong Qingxiao’s voice.
She couldn’t allow that. She had to quietly devour Zhao Xucheng.
Luo Ke lightly pressed her lips together.
The atmosphere between the two suddenly grew tense, but Zhao Xucheng didn’t seem to notice. He thought, a woman who would have sex with a man in a stairwell couldn’t be a good girl, right? Maybe this beautiful girl was even easier than Qin Mei.
He had already made advances on her before, and she hadn’t shown any resistance.
In short, Zhao Xucheng was confident in his charm. He admitted that this professor was quite good-looking, but women were soft-hearted and foolish. When a new man showed interest, they couldn’t help but be tempted, right?
After all, they were trapped in the building. Finding some fun to pass the time wasn’t a bad idea.
“Hey, beautiful,” Zhao Xucheng called out, “Could you come with me for a moment? I have something to ask you.”
No way!
Qingxiao stepped forward, holding Luo Ke’s shoulder. He stared into Zhao Xucheng’s eyes, his hostility evident.
“She’s my fiancée.”
Zhao Xucheng looked at him, surprised, then laughed, “Oh, a fiancée? That’s fine. I just want to ask Miss Luo something. It won’t interfere with your relationship, bro. No need to be so hostile.”
“And besides…” he continued slowly, “Miss Luo is an independent person. Even if you’re her fiancé, you don’t have the right to refuse on her behalf, do you?”
Two sentences left Qingxiao speechless. He couldn’t think of a way to refute Zhao Xucheng’s words.
But Zhao Xucheng’s intentions were clear. Qingxiao trusted his instincts about men-this guy had no good intentions towards Xiao Ke.
Fine, he couldn’t out-argue Zhao Xucheng. Qingxiao turned to Luo Ke, tugging at her sleeve.
“Let’s go back, Xiao Ke.”
“Give me a break, beautiful?” At the same time, Zhao Xucheng grabbed her other shoulder.
Luo Ke blinked. On one side was her dear wife, on the other, her dear wife’s secret. Both were about her dear wife-such a tough choice.
But what did Zhao Xucheng want?
This boring, foolish human seemed cunning. He had heard Zhong Qingxiao’s voice last time. Was he here to provoke her? Did he want to steal Zhong Qingxiao?
Or was he trying to blackmail her? Could he have secretly recorded their conversation?
How bold, human.
Luo Ke’s eyes changed. She brushed off Qingxiao’s hand and smiled at Zhao Xucheng, “Of course.”
Of course, go die.
She agreed just like that? Without any hesitation or pretense? Zhao Xucheng hadn’t expected her to agree so easily. He had only intended to stir things up, not expecting her to comply.
He raised an eyebrow at Qingxiao. It seemed Qingxiao had no real standing in her eyes.
“No!”
Just as Luo Ke was about to follow Zhao Xucheng, Qingxiao grabbed her arm. She turned to face his beautiful eyes, filled with accusation.
“I told you, Xiao Ke,” Qingxiao bit his lip, a hint of grievance in his voice, “I’m getting angry.”
