My Girlfriend's a Monster - Chapter 48
As Luo Ke slowly approached, Zhong Qingxiao quickly grabbed her hand. He didn’t even glance back at Zhao Xucheng, who was still smiling at them; instead, he pulled his girlfriend inside and shut the door behind them.
Luo Ke didn’t notice anything amiss with Zhong Qingxiao. She was busy retracting her teeth, thinking to herself-how coincidental. Even a minute later, or just thirty seconds, would have been enough for her to completely devour Zhao Xucheng.
They entered the bedroom one after the other. First, Zhong Qingxiao led her to wash her hands. As he washed her hands, Luo Ke felt her hands being enclosed in his, a comforting embrace.
After washing, Zhong Qingxiao dried her hands and led her to the bedside.
“Let’s sleep,” Luo Ke touched her chin, somewhat disinterested.
Just as she was about to sit on the bed near the window, she heard Zhong Qingxiao ask, “Aren’t you going to explain anything to me?”
Explain? Explain what? Luo Ke widened her eyes. Had Zhong Qingxiao just noticed her intent to eat someone? Impossible, she had hidden her teeth well… or so she thought.
Seeing his girlfriend’s expression stiffen, a vague feeling arose in Zhong Qingxiao’s heart. What was she doing with Zhao Xucheng just now? She didn’t even avoid his touch. Could it be that they had gotten that close without him knowing?
Zhong Qingxiao felt perhaps he was being overly sensitive. Maybe there was really nothing, and he was just overthinking.
“Can you tell me?” he asked. “Why did you suddenly go out so late?”
“You don’t mate with me, I had nothing else to do,” Luo Ke replied.
The TV was no longer watchable, and she really didn’t know what else to do, so she went out to look at the stars.
“I…” Zhong Qingxiao bit his lip. No matter how many times he heard that term from Luo Ke’s mouth, he couldn’t get used to it-it was a term used among animals, but after all, his girlfriend wasn’t exactly human, and he couldn’t quarrel with her about it.
And now was not the time to correct her language. He simply continued along the lines of what Luo Ke had said, “Is that why you went looking for someone else?”
He admitted that among these survivors, Zhao Xucheng indeed had a charming appearance, clearly the type popular with girls.
But just a few days ago, his girlfriend had told him that he was the only one.
“Someone else? Who?” Luo Ke hesitated. “Zhao Xucheng or Ge Hailong?”
Zhong Qingxiao choked on the question. Was Ge Hailong also involved in this? Zhao Xucheng and Ge Hailong shared a similar style, both like pretty boys.
But Zhong Qingxiao began to realize that this line of questioning would lead nowhere. His girlfriend probably didn’t even realize what she was doing.
He pulled Luo Ke to sit beside him and began to ask carefully, “How long were you with them?”
Luo Ke replied thoughtfully, “Ge Hailong, less than two minutes. Zhao Xucheng, about five or six minutes.”
Why ask these? Was he really that perceptive? Had he already noticed her murderous intent? Luo Ke bit her lip, feeling reluctant to be restrained by Zhong Qingxiao in this way, but these past few days had been comfortable, and she didn’t want to disturb that balance.
That ruled out Ge Hailong. Zhong Qingxiao occasionally trusted his instincts, and right from the start, he felt something was off about the way Zhao Xucheng looked at Xiao Ke.
“Did you do anything intimate with them?” Zhong Qingxiao asked.
“Intimate?” Luo Ke shook her head. Why would she be intimate with a piece of living flesh?
However, Zhong Qingxiao felt she might not have understood, so he thought for a moment and kissed her on the cheek.
“Like this, did you do this?”
Luo Ke’s gaze lingered on the lips of Zhong Qingxiao as he spoke, and shook her head.
“And this?” Zhong Qingxiao stroked her arm and the top of her head.
Luo Ke’s eyes gradually changed as she watched him, and shook her head again.
Zhong Qingxiao breathed a sigh of relief but still instructed Luo Ke, “Don’t let other men touch your body casually, okay?”
He was worried that his girlfriend, being a Monster, had no sense of avoiding other men.
After a pause, he added, “Including kissing and mating, it should only be with me, not with others, okay?”
“Zhong Qingxiao,” Luo Ke’s eyes gleamed mysteriously, “are you tempting me?”
She mumbled under her breath about how he had come looking for her right after his shower, although he had said he was going to rest immediately.
“I am not,” Zhong Qingxiao explained, but Luo Ke was already unbuttoning his shirt, eagerly burying herself in his chest, rubbing against him and sniffing him.
“You smell nice, did you use body lotion?” Luo Ke noticed the familiar scent.
“Yes,” Zhong Qingxiao replied, because he indeed planned to rest and had no intention of taking another bath in the middle of the night.
And besides… the session in the afternoon had been too intense. He was still sore and aching.
Like a serpent, her forked tongue gently licked.
The body lotion tasted bitter.
“Xiao Ke,” Zhong Qingxiao called out to her helplessly.
“Can’t I?” Luo Ke nuzzled him, looking much like a cat, yet her eyes were that of a predator stalking its prey.
Zhong Qingxiao hesitated for a moment before finally relaxing his body resignedly.
“If you really want to, then it must be only with me, not randomly with others, okay?” Zhong Qingxiao advised cautiously.
Luo Ke, of course, knew this; she wasn’t completely ignorant of the human world.
Did Zhong Qingxiao really think Monsters were as naive as newborn infants? For Monsters, deception and disguise were second nature.
As long as she got what she wanted, what was there to clarify?
Then, pretending to be concerned, Luo Ke asked, “Would others not agree to mate with me?”
Her cold fingers tightened, gradually gripping harder until Zhong Qingxiao gasped in pain before he explained, “That’s not the point… the point is, you just can’t do that. Xiao Ke, you’ve told me before, I’m your only bride.”
The thrill of tormenting him was simply too delightful. Luo Ke had no intention of stopping; she had imagined more than once what it would be like to bite all over Zhong Qingxiao’s body, seeing him covered in beautiful, delicious blood, tasting sweet even on the tip of her tongue.
But the little conscience she had left was also stopping her. The current Zhong Qingxiao was still just a human, and human bodies were ultimately too fragile for Monsters.
She needed to wait a bit longer, patiently wait until Zhong Qingxiao truly became her bride, and then they could live eternally together.
Thinking of all those long years she could spend with Zhong Qingxiao, when all those other damned humans would have long since died, leaving only her in Zhong Qingxiao’s world-what a beautiful scene that would be.
She couldn’t wait any longer.
Zhong Qingxiao’s expression slowly turned sad.
Maybe even he didn’t realize how pitiful he looked when his beautiful eyes drooped, always sharply stabbing at Luo Ke’s nerves. That was why she always found it so hard to let go.
She couldn’t bear to fill her strange sense of satisfaction with words she knew would hurt him.
“You are indeed the only one,” Luo Ke’s kisses fell on his eyes, carefully and earnestly comforting her dear wife.
But a Monster, after all, is still a Monster.
Luo Ke’s wicked thoughts were still fermenting. She pretended to struggle and muttered, “But I’m afraid you won’t be able to handle it. I don’t want to use you like that.”
“Do you know?” Luo Ke whispered close to him, “A Monster can stay excited even after mating for three days and three nights. I’ve really been holding back, but I just can’t suppress it completely, Zhong Qingxiao. It’s really hard for me too.”
Zhong Qingxiao’s expression blanked for a moment. Three days and three nights? So far, the longest Xiao Ke and he had lasted was the entire night of their first time, and Zhong Qingxiao felt like he was better off dead.
Even by dawn, he had been trembling with spasms all day due to overuse of his body.
The human body has its limits, but it seemed Xiao Ke also suffered a lot being with him.
Facing Xiao Ke, he always found it easy to soften his heart. He could always recall the various ways his girlfriend had shown her dependence and love for him from the moment they first met. After fully accepting that his girlfriend was a Monster, he felt somewhat guilty about his doubts and coldness.
Thus, Zhong Qingxiao spoke softly, uttering words that would surely make his future self regret.
“I’ll try to satisfy you, okay? I won’t refuse you anymore just because I’m a bit tired.”
Luo Ke’s head nestled in his neck, nodding gently, whispering like a siren’s song, “I love you so much.”
And the eyes of the Monster in the shadows sparkled with brilliant and triumphant light.
Oh, my dear naive wife.
