My Girlfriend's a Monster - Chapter 44
The night was deep, and Luo Ke patiently waited outside while Zhong Qingxiao took his bath. Tonight, he seemed to take a tad longer than usual, but Luo Ke didn’t mind.
By now, she no longer needed to sneak peeks; wherever she wanted to look, she could gaze as long as she wished.
When the bathroom door opened, Luo Ke turned her head and paused, her breath catching-Zhong Qingxiao was not dressed.
Zhong Qingxiao never did this. He always emerged fully covered, his hair even blow-dried.
This gave Luo Ke the wrong impression that he was being forward.
Luo Ke stood up, her arms open wide with satisfaction. “Come here.”
And he did, obediently walking toward her, drops of water still clinging to his hair tips, his gaze soft and pure as it fell on her.
“Do you remember what I told you?” Luo Ke asked softly.
“I remember,” Zhong Qingxiao nodded, Xiao Ke mentioned that the night was still to continue.
“Good boy.” Luo Ke began to kiss him. Tonight, Zhong Qingxiao was so compliant that she couldn’t fault him. He was still not great at kissing, still a bit clumsy, but tonight, Luo Ke felt no resistance from him. When she extended her tongue, he didn’t resist subconsciously.
“Do you like me?” Luo Ke asked, eager for him to say some sweet words in his pleasant voice.
The man she held in her arms frowned under her gaze and shook his head.
Luo Ke’s eyes deepened, but before she could get angry, she heard Zhong Qingxiao say, “I hate you.”
Luo Ke swallowed reflexively, finding the declaration more pleasing than if he had professed his liking.
“Why?” Luo Ke leaned closer, his body smelling of fresh shower gel, and she felt an irresistible urge to kiss him.
“You owe me an apology, Xiao Ke,” Zhong Qingxiao said.
Luo Ke flatly refused: “I don’t think I did anything wrong.”
Seeing his gaze turn sorrowful made her even more eager to tease him.
“I’m about to start the main course,” Luo Ke said, as countless tentacles sprouted behind her, skillfully wrapping around Zhong Qingxiao’s calves.
Zhong Qingxiao’s gaze remained calm, and he said no more.
He was too quiet tonight, quiet enough that Luo Ke occasionally thought he had fallen asleep, prompting her to bite down hard repeatedly, then delight in his involuntary grunts of pain.
He was really adorable; she couldn’t get enough.
Using her True Form had one disadvantage-it prevented her from kissing him, something she particularly wanted tonight. Human bodies, though useless for most things, had sensitive lips, far superior to those of a Monster. So tonight, she only partially transformed.
He was more cooperative than the first night, grabbing the sheets tightly when he couldn’t bear it, rather than struggling so much that it annoyed her.
Luo Ke proceeded until the late night, meticulously cleaning up Zhong Qingxiao, who had completely fallen asleep, and was about to cuddle up with him when the person in her arms suddenly started convulsing violently.
He was shivering, not like the tremors from previous ordeals, but more like convulsions.
Luo Ke suddenly felt something was off and instinctively checked Zhong Qingxiao’s Mental power. Before she could touch him, she saw his eyes open-a pair of utterly black, whiteless eyes that belonged to a Monster.
Zhong Qingxiao showed signs of mutation; he was beginning to be invaded.
How could this be? Luo Ke had marked him; why would a Monster manage to evade her and invade Zhong Qingxiao? Had she been negligent these days?
Luo Ke’s brow furrowed. Since his eyes opened, Zhong Qingxiao showed no intent to attack, just quietly watching her.
“Zhong Qingxiao?” Luo Ke tried calling him.
Unexpectedly, he quickly curled up, his legs drawn in as if cold, and his dark eyes fixed unblinkingly on Luo Ke.
He remained silent…
Luo Ke spoke again: “Speak, Zhong Qingxiao.”
Zhong Qingxiao pressed his lips together, his beautiful, swollen lips almost forming a line. After a long moment, Luo Ke heard him say, “Won’t you eat me?”
His voice was husky and gentle, reminding Luo Ke of a merman at sea.
“Why would I eat you?” Luo Ke asked patiently.
“Because…” Zhong Qingxiao’s ears reddened, seemingly embarrassed, “because I am a Berry Sandwich.”
Luo Ke widened her eyes slightly at his demeanor, her breath becoming sporadic and deep, her gaze fully fixed on Zhong Qingxiao, not wanting to miss a detail.
“I was made to be eaten,” Zhong Qingxiao said, covering half his face with a blanket, only his eyes visible.
Still those dark, whiteless eyes, so unlike his usually clear and shallow gaze, but Luo Ke still found him incredibly beautiful.
Her voice unconsciously softened, almost cooing to him, “But I only eat meat; I don’t like sandwiches.”
“Is that so?” Zhong Qingxiao responded, his face full of reluctance, and finally, helplessly, he said, “Then fine, I’m a boiled beef dish.”
Boiled beef was the last dish Zhong Qingxiao had cooked for her.
His subconscious still held these memories.
Luo Ke suddenly wanted to know what drove Zhong Qingxiao’s mutation into a Monster?
How could he become such a creature? He looked so well-behaved, as if he existed just to be eaten by her.
Luo Ke was puzzled, but she knew she had to completely cleanse Zhong Qingxiao’s mental field tonight.
“But being eaten would hurt; aren’t you afraid of pain?” Luo Ke leaned in, slowly approaching Zhong Qingxiao, looking deeply into his eyes, needing to uproot his deepest desires.
“Does it hurt?” Zhong Qingxiao’s expression seemed puzzled, but he quickly added, “It’s okay, I can endure pain well, I won’t scream.”
An inexplicable sensation pulled at Luo Ke, she couldn’t quite explain it, not very specific, but suddenly she felt a bit regretful for biting Zhong Qingxiao so harshly before.
The bruises from those bites hadn’t healed yet.
“Then I’m going to start eating; don’t move, okay?” Luo Ke continued to inquire as she
saw Zhong Qingxiao nod, his hands clenched as he nervously closed his eyes.
She slowly pressed her forehead against his, gradually embracing him, her pupils turning wild and terrifying, staring red into the depths of Zhong Qingxiao’s eyes, confronting the Monster within him stirring to life.
[Get out.]
[He’s mine.]
[Seek death.]
The immature parasite was accurately grasped by Luo Ke, who without hesitation bit through its tendons and crushed it with her sharp teeth, slightly easing her hungry void.
Luo Ke didn’t stop but continued to search and gently cleanse every possible danger in Zhong Qingxiao’s mental field, feeling his emotions gradually calm down, become clear and bright, along with his eyes.
The method of devouring could be very gentle, almost without side effects on humans, but Luo Ke needed time to digest and process. A half-formed parasitic Monster was difficult to handle, and she wouldn’t use this method on other humans.
“Hmm, Xiao Ke… Xiao Ke…” Zhong Qingxiao’s voice went from stammering to clear, very softly murmuring something.
At first, Luo Ke couldn’t hear clearly. She leaned in close to listen to his whisper, hearing him say, “Must feed Xiao Ke, can’t let Xiao Ke go hungry…”
“Hmm…” His voice carried a faint sob, “Xiao Ke is going to be hungry.”
Thump, thump.
Luo Ke suddenly heard a strange sound, fleeting, coming from her chest. She quickly reached to touch but felt nothing.
Her expression blanked for a moment before she remembered to soothe her dear wife.
“You’ve already fed me, and it was delicious,” she softly responded, unable to resist kissing his forehead.
Zhong Qingxiao’s furrowed brows relaxed at her words, his mind completely easing into deep sleep.
Luo Ke wasn’t sure how many times she had swallowed unconsciously, but she distinctly felt her regret deepening; she thought she had been too harsh these past days, should not have bitten so hard.
Those areas were still severely swollen.
Tentacles silently climbed, a healing slime with excellent properties began to wrap and roam over the beautiful human body, her movements gentle, always watching Zhong Qingxiao’s sleeping face, then she lightly touched his cheek.
Have sweet dreams, dear wife.
