My Girlfriend's a Monster - Chapter 28
To be frank, this was the first menstrual period Luo Ke had experienced since moving in with Zhong Qingxiao, and she didn’t know if it was due to her own mismanagement, but her periods had never been regular-irregular to an extreme extent.
It wasn’t a monthly occurrence but rather every two months, and sometimes even longer, with the longest interval stretching to half a year.
She didn’t fuss over such matters, hence she never bothered about maintaining a stock of sanitary pads.
As Luo Ke pondered her predicament, she questioned, what should she use in place? Sneak out to the supermarket in the middle of the night? But it was barely dawn, and there was a whole day to go.
Caught in her thoughts, Zhong Qingxiao reacted quicker than she did. He first helped her undo the hidden zipper of her skirt and gently asked, “Do we have any menstrual pads at home?”
Naturally, Luo Ke shook her head.
Zhong Qingxiao frowned, troubled by the lack of readily available alternatives. He carefully folded her skirt and turned on the hot water: “Wash up for now, I’ll ask Bai Lan if she has any.”
Luo Ke watched him leave and then rinsed the blood stains off her body with hot water.
Without menstrual pads, wearing a skirt seemed inconvenient. Luo Ke cherished every one of her skirts and didn’t want them stained with blood.
A few minutes later, Zhong Qingxiao returned empty-handed. “Bai Lan said she forgot to bring any.”
The sudden start of her period also made Bai Lan anxious. She had been so focused on packing essential items like food that she completely forgot about pads.
Luo Ke didn’t mind; she had not really expected Bai Lan to remember anyway. She reached for some toilet paper to use as a makeshift pad, but Zhong Qingxiao quickly stopped her.
“Wait, don’t…” he hesitated, surprised at how unguarded she was with him. Flushing, he thought of another solution.
“Just sit for a while. I’ll sew one for you, okay?” His voice was gentle. Being a university professor, he understood the uncleanliness and discomfort of using toilet paper.
Women in the past would sew their own menstrual pads, which could be washed and reused. It wasn’t too difficult to make.
Saying that, Zhong Qingxiao immediately began looking for materials. It needed to be soft, skin-friendly, and absorbent…
Sew? Luo Ke was puzzled. What kind? She had never seen one before.
Clean cotton cloth and cotton were crafted into a pocket design, with several layers of toilet paper cushioned inside. Zhong Qingxiao was adept at sewing; it took him less than ten minutes to create a pristine white menstrual pad and handed it to Luo Ke.
“Use this, tie it here…” He instructed her as he showed her how to use it, but Luo Ke’s mind wasn’t on it. She looked at Zhong Qingxiao, slowly squinting her eyes, and then kissed him on the cheek.
Zhong Qingxiao’s ears turned red, but he did not shy away, appearing even more bashful.
Honestly, he had only seen such items online before and had never made one for a girl. In fact, he never thought he would have the opportunity to make one for his girlfriend.
“It’s comfortable.” Luo Ke teasingly leaned into him; he smelled good, and so did the item he made, soft and gentle.
Pleased by the compliment, Zhong Qingxiao smiled shyly.
When they changed clothes and came out of the room, Bai Lan immediately asked, “How did you manage?”
Luo Ke was straightforward, “He made one for me.”
Girls usually know about such things. Bai Lan immediately understood that it was the traditional menstrual pad and looked at Luo Ke with envy. “Professor Zhong made it for you, Keke, you must have saved the galaxy in your past life to find such a virtuous husband!”
Luo Ke thought to herself, she lived in the galaxy.
With the menstrual situation temporarily resolved, the refilling of the flamethrower was nearly complete. Zhong Qingxiao pushed open the door to check outside, but when he opened it, the corridor and the connecting hallway were empty, not a person or monster in sight.
It seemed that ever since they had returned home, the outside had quieted down.
Is… everyone dead? Or did they run away?
Zhong Qingxiao shuddered, closed the door, and locked it.
“Stay here for now,” he said to Bai Lan, not daring to venture out in search of people, only waiting to handle any monsters that might appear. Bai Lan nodded without further comment, and after the exhausting half-night, everyone went back to their rooms to rest.
Luo Ke sat in her room, operating the washing machine. When she came out, she noticed that Zhong Qingxiao had gathered more new cloth and cotton, his head bowed as he sewed something.
She watched him for a while, recognizing it was still menstrual pads.
“Zhong Qingxiao.” Suddenly feeling an odd sense of urgency, Luo Ke, without hesitation, pushed him onto the bed and began kissing him.
“Xiao Ke!” Zhong Qingxiao was nearly choked by her sudden action, quickly moving away from the needle to prevent accidentally pricking Luo Ke, amused yet helpless at his girlfriend’s spontaneity.
“Aren’t you tired?” he asked, noting that they hadn’t slept since around one or two in the morning, and it was nearly dawn.
For the first time, Luo Ke felt an intense heat in her chest. Her mind was consumed with thoughts of Zhong Qingxiao’s shy gaze and his lips moving as he spoke. She desperately wanted to kiss him, and not just that.
“Didn’t you say I could do whatever I wanted?” Luo Ke reminded him of his words from earlier in the night.
Zhong Qingxiao knew she was holding onto those words. He tapped her leg gently, trying to negotiate, “But, you’re on your period. It’s not really feasible.”
“There is a way!” Luo Ke insisted.
She seemed very experienced, not at all like it was her first time. Zhong Qingxiao didn’t know much about his girlfriend’s dating history, only that Aunt Luo had mentioned she had never been in a relationship.
But one couldn’t always take an elder’s word as absolute. Even if Zhong Qingxiao had a girlfriend, he wouldn’t discuss it with his family elders.
Zhong Qingxiao felt he might not be her first love, but he wasn’t overly concerned about it. As long as Xiao Ke was his first love, and as long as she had no lingering feelings for anyone else, that was enough for him.
“Okay,” Zhong Qingxiao agreed, knowing that once he promised his girlfriend something, he would see it through, but he still needed to finish his task.
“Can you wait a little while longer? I’ll sew a couple more, okay?” he said, pinching the cotton cloth in his hand, “Otherwise, you’ll have trouble switching them later.”
His tender expression struck a chord in Luo Ke, who couldn’t understand why she felt so agitated today. Was it because of her period? She found Zhong Qingxiao incredibly beautiful today, almost dizzyingly so.
Every tentacle within her twitched, swelling significantly, almost uncontrollably!
Luo Ke waited impatiently. Although she appeared to be sitting quietly, she couldn’t help but gaze at Zhong Qingxiao repeatedly, watching his long fingers thread the needle, holding the light blue cotton cloth, and carefully stuffing the cotton inside.
Every action of his was unbearably enticing.
She wanted to kiss him, to cover every inch of his body with kisses. Would Zhong Qingxiao allow it? Surely, he would? Hadn’t he said she could do anything?
About twenty minutes later, Zhong Qingxiao finally finished sewing the menstrual pads. He made two more so that changing them wouldn’t be a hassle later. To ensure absorbency, more tissue could be added, as long as it didn’t directly touch the skin to avoid discomfort.
But he was nearly speechless under his girlfriend’s fiery gaze. Zhong Qingxiao stored the menstrual pads in a clean bag, then put away the sewing materials and locked the room door before he could finally breathe a sigh of relief.
“Alright, now we can,” he said, looking at his girlfriend. “What do you want to do?”
Luo Ke didn’t answer but instead stood up and pulled Zhong Qingxiao into a kiss.
She was more skilled at kissing than he was, at least that’s what Luo Ke thought, full of aggression, leaving him defenseless.
When Luo Ke slipped her tongue in, Zhong Qingxiao realized that last time she had deliberately held back. He tried to get up in surprise but was pressed down again by Luo Ke, who licked him with ease.
Zhong Qingxiao took deep breaths, finding this kissing experience quite overwhelming, but soon he was kissed until his lips were numb and naturally began to lack oxygen. His chest heaved dramatically as Luo Ke methodically unbuttoned his shirt.
After about five or six minutes, Zhong Qingxiao felt dizzy. He lay on the bed, gasping for air, suddenly feeling jealous. Who had she practiced her kissing with? Had she kissed others like this?
The thought that he wasn’t the first to be treated this way made Zhong Qingxiao feel a bit wronged. He was completely inexperienced and had just been kissed by her. Thinking about this, he unconsciously grabbed Luo Ke’s wrist.
“What’s wrong?” Luo Ke paused her actions.
Zhong Qingxiao’s shirt was completely open. It was hot, and since he was only wearing one layer, removing the buttons left him bare.
Zhong Qingxiao didn’t speak, just held onto Luo Ke’s hand and silently kissed her fingertips.
Use them to expand, okay? Suddenly, this thought rushed through Luo Ke’s mind, a tickling sensation running from her fingertips to her heart, making her restless.
Slowly, Zhong Qingxiao’s long legs wrapped around Luo Ke, his pants easily undone and tossed under the bed.
He was truly beautiful, like an exceptionally standard doll. Luo Ke’s gaze nearly stuck to him.
Gently touching him, she asked, “Can you let me suck like before today?”
Zhong Qingxiao touched his nose and lightly nodded. He actually preferred that she didn’t suddenly stop to ask him; it was really embarrassing.
The bloodthirsty nature was ingrained in a monster’s nerves. Compared to many gentle and lingering actions, Luo Ke actually preferred violence, though she tried hard to control herself.
For instance, right now, she much preferred to bite, and biting hard would be perfect.
But whenever she thought about this, the image of Zhong Qingxiao bending over to sew earlier would come to mind, and she couldn’t help wanting to be more tender.
She wanted something soft, just like the cotton pads he had sewn.
